Let me preface this by saying that the car ran just fine and everything worked correctly after i relocated the battery.

Installed a kiggly 12-1 trigger recently, as well as a 200amp Saturn alternator. After getting the car back together I put the negative battery cable back on the battery in the trunk and it sparked a little more than normal but nothing to seem to worry about. I didn't realize until after I put it on that I left the key in the on position when I did.

-Now, most of my interior stuff doesn't work. Dome lights won't turn on either when the doors are open or when I try to manually turn them on. No interior lights work
-Automatic seat belts don't activate
-Heater Fan blower doesn't turn on, although the little motor or relay on the blower "clicks" when I put the fan speed on high
-NO continuity between power and ground at the battery, either while powered off or on.

Outside of these the car seems to be just fine.

Ive checked all fuses inside and outside the car, and all passed visual inspection (I actually pulled every one of them) maybe it's a relay issue?

The OEM alternator fuse is pulled, and the Saturn alternator is NOT connected to the factory harness yet.

Anyone have any ideas? I could use the help

Doing some more digging I tested some of the fuses in the panel with key on engine off and was only getting .5v. im. Thinking maybe something with the fuse box itself is wrong.

Is there another fusible link somewhere that provides power to the whole fuse box?

Put the alternator fuse back and then see if it would work as before.
Just to verify, the one I pulled is the 80amp fuse in the engine bay. I have a 2ga wire ran from the new alternator to the positive battery post in the engine bay that completely replaced that fuse / wire combo.

I guess that's why many things are not getting the power. I don't know how exactly you wired everything but many things get the power through that 80A fuse.
I'm going to feel so dumb if that's the case. I thought that was just the white pair of wires that went from the alternator to the original battery location, with the fuse in the fuse box.

Other things actually do get power from that?

IIRC, like the headlight motor, power widow motor, seat belt motor, etc etc are getting power through the 80A fuse to their own fuse.
Oh man I definitely feel dumb.
Unfortunately I actually didn't know it was a fusible link and I kinda just yanked it out and broke the fuse. I'll pick up a new one tomorrow

Yeah that's where the power is its easy to miss it of its broken in there. It gives the power to the fuse box. I've learned a lot about wiring over the years. Pick one up that should do it.

A lot of stuff is before the alternator fuse but as you can see here if it's blown power from the battery never reaches the rest.
