1g ebay IC, Pictures inside

We actually used that to secure the IC so it does not sway back and forth. The rear brackets and the pipes hold the IC in place really well. I was going to attach it with some stripes of metal but doubling up on the mechanic's wire worked perfect. Its so easy to work with.

well i really like the kit man but i just simply dont have the funds for it right now. how well are the sales going on it? just curious because i want this kit around for when my project fwd is ready for it....

Well guys i've got some install pictures from people that i've sold the kit to so far. I was going to post them yesterday but tuners keeps going down. When i get home and have some time to edit all the pics i'll post them in here. So far there having been any issues with the kit.

You are correct, i bought the orignal core off Kevin at CXracing and we started to design a kit. 6 months later here we are

If you see any on ebay from CXracing those are the old ones. (cutting radiator )

It just sounded familiar especially with the core being ½ inch short. He got the measurements from me. I first bought a core he was selling on ebay, then call him to ask if he would make me one for a 1g (short route). Glad to see some one made it happen. Working in Architecture I just did not have the time. And I still have the first core I got and the first mock up of the 1g core which is ½ inch short. I did send him a correct drawing of the way the core should be. Now I have a question, Would you trade a core that's the right size for the 2 cores I have? Let me know. Both are still in the box.

Some quick questions
1. Are you still able to use your stock flood lamps?
2. Are you now still having to use a Slim fan or can you keep stock??

the stock fog lights are still up in the air. neither LaN or i have tried to fit them. it looks like it can be done but it will be very very tight. as for the fans..... if your not running your ac anymore u will not need a fan. the stock rad fan can stay. if your running ac youll need a slimfan for the ac fan. there isnt enough room with the jpipe to keep the stock drivers side fan.

He has a MAF-T setup and a turbo with the outlet pointing down. Piping worked out perfect. He did have to get some couplers for the maft and cut 1 of the pipes but not a big deal.

Well guys so far the kits have been selling pretty good, but i would like to make an attempt in making this bigger.

I have been thinking of new products i could have made, but thought i'd get everyone elses ideas also.

So far this is what i'm going to try.

- Possibly a 2g kit (not sure if i'll be able to compete with the ssautochrome kit, its just so damn cheap)

- 1g intake for a 2g mas (those things are damn expensive i should be able to make it alot cheaper)

- Maybe manifolds but i'm not sure if i want to get into that market.

Also give me your ideas on other cars that we could design IC kits for. I think mabye SRT-4 would be a good one but i'm not sure.

Ya I think the intake pipe for a 1g/2gmaf combo should be good. Perhaps to add with that a cheaper set of a 2gmaf cone filter with mounting bracket.

That did cross my mind. The only thing i'm worried about is not to ruin my name. To many times people start to sell mani's and exhausts and they end up getting a bad wrap when 1 or 2 of them goes bad. Also i doubt i could beat the price on these new cast manifolds that are coming out. I'm not saying no i'm just a little skeptical about it all.

Anyone got a 2g (locally if possible) that wants to help me design a kit?

I hear you on keeping your name clean. It is good to see you stop to think about that. You could do upper and lower IC pipes for people who want to keep a stock side mount too. Throttle body elbows, j-pipes... It could take a while to make sure you have a good design but keep at it and I am sure it will pay off.
