You know. I never thought about that. My last recirc setup with the bolton h1c had a SHORT recirc tube about 5 inches vs the, what, over a foot for sure with the 1g engine bay.

Oh I know. When I had the Brode UICP and Greddy Type S I was able to put the neck right against the intake pipe recirculation provision. Couldn't of gotten any louder (or closer) unless I dumped.

Another "trick" (if you wanna call it that) is to use some sort of metal piping as the recirculation tube. I used a faucet pipe from Home Depot and cut-to-fit. Not ground breaking, but I did notice a Db increase from using the standard 1-ply hose.

Larger openings on both ends may be required if we're talking max flow capabilities, but that's an easy remedy. Since we're assuming both atmospheric blow off valves and recirculation valves in this thread, shouldn't we be discussing them as "separate but equals"?

It's an easy remedy of having to totally redesign and remachine the valve...

Then get two valves on your car. The flutter is in major part due to a lack of required venting. As I said, if you need more than one 1g modified valve (dodge garage mod), add another. The MOST reliable, plus very affordable even if you need two; the total investment is 1/3 the cost! Not bad for "throw it on, call it done forever" parts.

So they can both not open at low boost? Or so that one can open under low boost, but open early and leak during high boost? Adding another 1g valve is not going to fix the issue of compressor surge while retaining high boost capabilities.

The single opens at low boost just fine and holds just fine. It releases VERY WIdE. Remember you yourself alluded to the flow or opening of the valve being altered with the dodge garage mod. The mod is for higher boosts not higher flows. High flow at low boost = single stock valve.

I've proven myself that a single modded valve is fine up to 52lb/min and 30psi without flutter. High boost but below 50lb/min = single dodge garage modded valve.

For those that want high boost for high flow, then use two dodge garage modded valves. high boost + over 50lb/min flow = two dodge garage modded valves.

Pretty basic stuff here. Proven techniques with valves that NEVER fail. And ALWAYS do whats asked of them. Reliability, cheapness, AND fast! WOW! go figure; maybe it IS just a cliche instead of a law that trumps Murphy ;).

Not sure what the argument is. My car with a 35R with the regular bell inlet (no surge ports) has no surge issues or whatever being mentioned. My BOVs work exactly like stock. I can hear them open in vacuum with me driving around at part throttle. No fluttering, no BS. You could buy me a brand new TiAL today and I wouldn't put it in my car. That's how happy and satisfied I am with my setup. :)

The above can't wrap his mind around paying less for the same success. . . It's a persistant problem. 'doing it right' based on his signature is a vary, vary narrow simply-minded scope of 'products' in which he has put faith. . . based on cost.

I've researched and looked at forge being a cheap aftermarket bov that bolts right on, but i think a Tial would be the best choice of any because they flow so well recirculating and venting out.

My experience from cat back system off ebay is great. I got it 2 years ago and sounds like a beast and is pretty loud but not crazy . It is just what I was wanting . The company was called bomb racing if interested I had good past with it

If you are worried about flutter with a 1g BOV that has been DG modded, run a bleeder mbc style setup to the bottom port instead of leaving it open to atmosphere. Adjust to the point where it doesn't flutter and doesn't leak at full bost; there is usually a huge margin between the two.
