Hey there. I have a 97 talon tsi with a 1g bov. I was wanting to know if it would hurt to drill small holes arround the venting tube just before the hose that goes back to the intake. I want it to be a little louder.

You see, i saw some bov's for sale that partially vent to the atmosphere and some to the intake to satisfy the ecu as long as there is enough air going in. i don't mean like 5 or 6 holes around it, just like 2, one on each side opposite of eachother on the venting tube of the bov housing itself, not the rubber hose. just to make it a little bit louder not big holes that will let all the air out. if you think about it, your turbo is still partially spooled when you let off the throttle when the bov actuates. either way that air isn't going to be pushed out the holes as much with just two holes. the turbo is still going to suck the majority of the air in. as opposed to your typical Greddy or hks partial venting systems that have rather large holes and are supposed to work. they really look like they would let more air out than recirculate. im going to take a rain check on this one until i get another 1g bov to use as a donor for my experiment.
