Not tryin to bicker, but i was there with Trevor when he saw your car in person last. It was no where near completion. And no one took pictures. Trevor had actualy piad for the materials from ETS to put the turbo in the headlight over 6 moths ago. No one is denyin what you and your car are doin. Kudos to you, but dealing with a FMIC and turbo that big, really limited on options to place the turbo. Sorry you take it as an insult, but your car and setup were not an influence when mocking everything up on this car. The turbo was chose to go in that spot rather than behind the FMIC or lower in the bumper to avoid lengthy IC piping and not having the turbo sitting so low as to need a scavenging pump to get the oil from the turbo back top the pan.

Not gonna get into a bickering match with you in anyway, not worth the efforts or time, but what your saying is you never looked at my build thread for this season, kudos to you, your building what could be a fast auto, once again good luck on the build have a swell season.

Not technically stealing since it's not patented but copying another car. As Jeff said, originality should come in at that point.

Well shep's car is the first ff turbo i can remember ever seeing, so doesnt that mean jeff copied shep, thats not very original eh?

The op's car is sick, and id call it original. Looks like all the work was done in his garage? Thats bad ass. More original then a team built shop car if you ask me.

But who gives a ####, really...

Nice car op :thumb:

Actually it looks very little like John had done his.

I realise what you are trying to say but I'd like to point out 2 things.

Jeff has built and paid for everything on his car this season except-

The transmission (Metro, thanks Mark), The turbo kit (ETS, Thanks JR and crew), and the final welding on the new cage (thanks Nathan).

Harness, engine, steering, all the labor, etc. is all Jeff. I have helped a little, Luke tunes it, ideas get bounced off the guys. Team effort not a "Shop car" by the normal definition. Trevor's car has just as much extra help in it.

Not sure what your tryin to point out here, but everything on this car has been paid for out of Trevors pocket. He has had help from ETS and Lucas English has helped out with tuning. Other than that, everything on this car is out of pocket.

It was to 91 stocker and not Trevor. 91 stocker explained what he meant, its all good. I thought I understood him (and I did) but I wanted to say that Jeff's car was no different than Trevor's in that regard for everyone else.

Its all good. Didnt mean to ruffle feathers with anyone. Just wanted to show people what we were doin. There was never any intent here to copy anyone. When mocking up the turbo, we explored a ton of different options as to where to mount the turbo and place things and this seemed to be the easist and most effective. Once again, my apologies to Jeff or anyone feeling insulted.

No, it would mean Jeff copied his FF setup. He made his own forward facing manifold with a totally different design. get it?

But yeah, the car is legit and I hope nothing but the best for the car.

This is where you dont have a clue of what your saying, Sheps turbo is on the passenger side of the car, at least it was before the new build, unsure of the current combo, BUT here's some pics of my setup during my build this season, HMMMM

Ones thing is for certain, if Trevor's car gets it like mine, he wont beable to wipe the smile from his face after each run, once again, good luck on the new build hope it's done and ready for SPR in Yakima. Id love to see what the 80mm turbo does.

That was said wrong. On my phone at the moment and was supposed to say you didn't copy it. My mistake. If you look, you would see that I quoted 91stockers post.. Why would I disagree and then say the same thing he said? My reply was exactly what he said when I replied with a no. Phone just didn't add didn't when I typed it.

Anyone have anapkin? I seemed to have drooled al over myself :D beautiful car , great work!

Was hopping this would get cleaned up by now.

As of now I consider Trevor part of the Team. The person posting this is not the owner of the car so I don't think every thing came across they way it should.

I do feel we could have a tad more credit in the tech help of the car since Trevor has Called us since 2002 buying parts and getting info on how to build things.

Here are a few things that I think are a bit off in the list

Basic rundown on the car is:
92TSi
5-Speed car (converted to auto)
2.0
Concrete block
RnR Aluminum Rods
JE's
Stock crank
ER Specifications on motor
Ported head
FP4R's
Kiggley Beehive Springs
JMFab intake manifold
Tial wastegates and BOV
ETS Intercooler
ETS Manifold materials fabbed by Hollands Performance
Garrett GTX4508R
Hollands Performance 2G auto Trans (While Trevor has rebuilt his own VB and Trans setup is ER/Metro)
IPT Billet Converter (Converter is ER/Metro spec Precision converter. )
Shep 300m T-case (Dog Box modded Case bought through ER)
Stock rear end
DSS Axles
DSS driveshaft
AEM series 1 EMS (tuned by Lucas English)
Q16 fuel
Aeromotive Eliminator Pump
Aeromotive A1000 regulator
FIC 1600's
NOS driect port (120 shot for spool)

Sounds like whoever is posting the info on this car up, needs to stop.

Great work to ER for having a helping hand in creating these auto's.

Looks good man.

To joke on the situation...the runners are ran differently on both manifolds so there different and not the same manifold regardless of location! LOL

The way I see it is thats a optimal spot for the turbo to sit...minimize the IC pipe length and not have to get too crazy with how the runners for the manifold are made...why not do it. I mean honestly is there a law to what materials you buy, or how you make a manifold...JMF is making top mounts comparable to shearer oh well its what works, and honestly I would do the same thing If/when I decide to get crazy with the auto...right now the Gt42 bottom mounted is working so Im leaving it.

Oh and how much you looking to get for the Top Mount LOL?

I'm new to the dsm community, but it doesn't take much to figure out that with a set up like this that you are really going to be limited on the placement of such a large turbo/intercooler setup. With that being said I personally think that hollands manifold is cleaner looking. I mean no disrespect to eclipsed4seed99 I love his setup and design. I look forward to watching both of these beast at the track!

Cant wait to see them both hopefully next week in Yakima at the shootout battling it out. Regardless of the outcome its going to be a good show for the crowd when those two line up. :hellyeah:
