Does anyone know the factory alternator pulley size for 1G Manual turbo (US)?

Does the Canadian alternator (90A) have a different size pulley? I say Canadian 90A because in the factory service manual it states the 90A is for Canadian auto 1G's

I ordered an new Denso alternator (90A) from rock auto and the pulley is clearly larger than the stock alternator pulley that came off of the 1G.

I wondering what's going on here?

Thank you

The slightly larger pulley will turn the alternator slightly slower. This won't cause any harm, but will lower the output slightly Unless you're going to run a high demand accessory like a powdered sub-woofer, I doubt it would cause any issues, as long as that pulley clears all nearby obstructions.

If the grooves aren't deeper I can see the remanufacturer doing this. I hate reman alternators and I refuse to buy one. I will have my existing unit fixed at a local shop.

I think that the 75A and 90A alternators use larger pulleys and the 65A uses the smaller one to increase output at an idle.

The part numbers for the pulley on the 65A is different than the 75 and 90A alternator

It's supposed to be somewhere between 65.00mm-65.50mm. Reman alternators often come with an aftermarket pulley and sometimes the outer rib is taller than OEM, I guess it's as stopper. In that case it looks larger. but the actual OD of pulley should be the same. Sometimes come with a totally different OD pulley though. Once I received one that had a much smaller pulley.

here is the parts list for the different alternators and pulleys
I'm wondering if there are two different pulley sizes and why?
