Hey guys! Some of you may know me from a previous thread where I talked about getting this GSX. So Im starting this thread because I got it last night! The seller was asking $5,000 for it. After I checked it out I realized that it is not worth $5,000. So I offered a straight trade for my 1995 Honda Prelude. We mad the deal and I am extremely happy with the GSX! It does have its share of flaws though. It in desperate need of a respray! Then the suspension feels really jacked up! I hear a knocking sound when I turn! Also when I try and make a U-turn and pull the wheel all the way to the left it kinda feels like its rubbing and the tires don't want to roll! It also shakes when I'm going 60+ mph. The clutch feels way too soft! IDK if its just cause I'm used to hondas but it takes little to no effort to push the pedal down! Last night I tried to see how it would launch and I revved it to 3500 RPM's and released the clutch and it didn't take off it pushed me back in the seat and the just stopped like I was hitting the brakes! So I gotta do some research and find out whats causing that but its definitely is a project, but I see the potential and am determined to make it a street monster! Heres the pics guys enjoy!

I did jack up the car today and checked out the suspension! the rotors look pretty rusted and old! The driver and passenger side axle boots were not ripped, but the passenger side that was connected looked like it was leaking. The shocks and springs look pretty worn! Heres some pics of the underside of the car!

Alright guys well I got my tires balanced today hoping it would stop my steering wheel shakes! It stopped a little but nowhere near where I wanted it to be. It shakes at higher speeds between 55 mph and higher! It does not really shake when I accelerate but more when I let off of the gas. I've already replaced both front CV axles and got the tires balanced! What could be the next thing that could cause this to happen? Thanks guys!

The drive shaft universal joint or center carrier bearing could cause a vibration on deceleration, It could also be an inner CV issue back there too. What about warped rotors? How do your rotors look? Time for a resurface better yet replacement? Other than that I'm not sure what it could be as those are usually the quickest five reasons I can think of that cause that type of shake.

Great thanks alot! I think im gonna try the tie rods then possibly some new rotors! Anyone have experience with ebay rotors?

Well guys tragedy struck a couple days ago when I was driving my car! I'm not going to lie I was getting on it quite a bit that night but long story short I developed a knock! Checked the oil the next day and it was completely drained! I did get the oil changed 2 weeks before! So I changed the oil hoping that would help and it didn't! So I started to disassemble things! For starters I took off the turbo, manifold, and down pipe. Today I took of the transfer case and dropped the oil pan! This is what I found inside the oil pan! I also took a screw driver and tried to see if there was any play in the crankshaft! There was a small bit of play in the crankshaft. So I'm guessing I also crank walked! Heres some pics and also a video of the bit of play that it has! Sorry for the crappy video, but it gets the point across!

Ouchhhhhh. Well, another reason to get the 6 bolt conversion in there LOL.

Lol yeah no worries! I'm currently looking for a 6 bolt short block! Im gonna stick with my 2g head. It'll be back up and running real soon!

Man... all these gst/gsx builds make me want to sell my n/t and buy a turbo dsm so bad. ><

DO IT!!! LOL

Dsm>Honda anyday good find lets hope you have a good garage!

No worries! I'm confident that I'll get it back up and running soon! I'm just really searching and hoping I come across a healthy short block! Anyone that is selling a 6 bolt healthy short block let me know!

Alright guys! I need a little help! I've tried searching but I can't find any threads that explain the 6 bolt block with a 7 bolt head! I know that the 6 bolt block basically keeps every thing ...oil pump ect... The head has to be drilled to 12mm...I'm just a little confused about what else needs be done as far as the motor mount fabrication and all the necessary sensors! Would the 7 bolt engine harness be fine with no modification?

Think I got it figured out! So I can use a harness that is sold by magnus motorsports. If Im correct it will take a 1g cam angle sensor on the 2g head and connect it to where the crank angle sensor connects to! I guess they give off the same reading!! So hopefully I'll be fine with keeping the 1g oil pump and just get a 1g cam angle sensor and slap that on my 2g head! Someone please correct me if I'm totally wrong about this!! Thanks!

Hey guys need a little help! Im getting ready to pull my engine and I don't have the engine pull brackets on my engine! Can anyone give me some good advise as to where I can put the chains to pull the motor out??
