1997 Eclipse GSX ABS?

Is looking to see if the car has an ABS light the only way to find out if the car has ABS? I need a new axle.

check near brake caliper,there will be a sensor and line etc.

Take the wheel off and see if it has abs sensor's..pretty sure the abs brake lines are different too but maybe someone else could tell you that for sure

I don't know where the abs pump is on all years/models but on my 99 gsx it's sitting in front of the driver's wheel, viewable from above in the engine bay with the brake lines from the master cylinder entering it. I think if it's not there the brake lines go directly to the proportioning valve towards the middle of the firewall. So I'd look for that unit as the easiest check.
