INFO: +35 offset is the best for 2gs but that's for tucking the wheels AKA wheel fitment, but to not mess with the suspension geometry and get most out of your suspension is +27 considering a 17X9

Wait. All I needed to do to change my suspension geometry was change my wheels??? I wasted all that time reading pompous books and arguing with Dennis, when all I needed to do was change my wheels??? I phail.

Can you or anyone give a little more detail about this comment? I'm looking to get 17x9 RPF1s and would like to get the proper wheel offset. I'm planning to install EVO brembo calipers, DG-Koni coilovers and 245/40/17 tires.

So to get your recommended +27mm offset I would have to buy 17x9 +22 and +5mm spacers, correct? How much more fender rolling did you have to do with the recommended setup?

@ kidtsi - the car in your profile is running the +27mm offset correct?

This would actually end up producing an offset of +17. The further you push it out from the hub, the lower the offset number.

You can read more about the +27 offset recommendation here.

In regards to the RFP1's at +35 offset, these should work no problem. They have a proper offset to clear the Brembo's (+38 or lower), will work with the size tires you want to run, and will clear the knuckle in the rear.
