Hey guys. I'm having trouble finding 17x9" wheels that I like. I know of the FN01R-C and RPF1 and even the MB Weapons.

I'm trying to find a concave style wheel, Like a Rota Torque drift. However I'm kinda afraid of the +35 offset on the drifts causing the wheels to stick out pretty far. After seeing some people's cars with +45 and 5mm spacers (aka +40mm), I think I might be able to do +35 with a tiny bit of camber on the fronts. However I'm scared to swipe the credit card not knowing. A friend has some 17x9+35 FN01R-C's he's tryin to get me to buy for 500 but there are no tires and I would have to try the wheels on to hand over cash....

I have gone through ebay and see the billions of mustang wheels with +24 offsets haha and I've seen a local member's car with them. Can you guys help? If you know any place with some non breaking bank pricing and some nice 17x9" from +35 to +45, please let me know.

The Volks I have are +35...they poke out and are an 8" wheel. How much meat are you trying to wrap around those rims?

MMMM Rota! Yeah I like the Rota Torque Drifts, cause that have that concave look. but +35 only. I know the wheel when cambered right will stick out a little even with +40 or +45 W spacer. But I'll run a little bit of camber.

Lando, 245/45.... And I'm kinda thinkin about the Enkei RP03 18x9. But I dont know. I've already done the research on 17x9" wheels, but I'm just having trouble finding a bunch of different kinds.

I'm leary about Rotas, but those Enkeis are kinda slick. You can always run a 245 on an 8" or 8.5"

That defeats the purpose. I want 17x9. If I could run 17x10 in the back I would.

17x9 +45 W/5mm spacer! And even tho his car looks like it wont have any issue with a +35.... I'm still leary.

I like Rotas. Had some regular drifts in 17x8.5 before but I want to go all out. Great wheels.

Yeah I've used calculators. I know. All the calculators say 17x9 is going to stick out an inch if I run +35. Which thats a big no no. But look at that white Talon, its on +40. Add 5mm more isn't gonna make it stick out of the fender an inch... I dunno.

Here's the exact same setup as that white talon, except without camber. Same wheels, same offset. Dunno if its the same tire tho. Cause this guy is using 255.

Thats with 0 camber. So thats why I think I want +45 to +40. And to stay away from +35.

Lando! Common! That thing is barely stickin out haha. However you said 8" wide on +35... so if it was 9" wide, add half an inch to that... ick!

so I think I'll stick with +40 10mm is a little smaller than half an inch. so they will stick out just a small tad more if I did +45... Either way, I'm gonna have to run a little bit of camber.

I say you go as wide as you can and put those fender flares on. Like umm that sponsored member that does autocross. 1gs can pull off the flares well.

I was thinkin about that... .Cause they look great I th ink. But I'd have to find the right ones...

HOWEVER, I have an update and in a little bit I'll have pics. 17x9" +35 (those FN01RC's) fit GREAT! They fit just like LandoAWD's... Barely stick out! With some 9" wide tires (like 245 or 235) I should be able to run them with no modifications!!!!!

I'm about to try on some other wheels to see if I like them. Looks like I'm gonna be rollin on 91 3000GT VR4 Chrome wheels so I can run the VR4 brakes.

I really wish there was a POST YOUR WHEELS THREAD. I really want to see what everyone has and what looks good.

There is, just not in a straight forum. Tons of people on here ask for pictures of certain sizes and what not. Hell I have ever done it. And I have searched for days on end for the right offset/wheel size and tire size and I honestly have come to the conclusion that I want 17x9 +35 to +40et.

When I got back to my friends house, who I might add is ballin with a few HIGH (high is an understatement of the century) horsepower Honda Civics, and a couple DSM's and 3000GT's. And He already had the last FN01RC mounted to the 275 tire. So there was no way to fit the wheel onto the car with that size tire.

However, For now since I am converting my brakes to 4piston Mitsubishi 3000gt Calipers using VR4 Spindles, I need some wheels period. He's currently going to let me borrow his stock 3000gt wheels which are 17x8.5" and +46ET. THEY FIT BEAUTIFULLY!

And this is the front showing off clearance of the fender with 0 (maybe some + degree) camber.
