Hello all, well, it looks like I'm in need of a turbo, the oil seals in mine seem to be going out.
So I want to go cheap and gain a little horsepower whilst I am at it.
What I was planning on is getting an eBay 16G EVO III turbocharger, but use it with my stock fuel system. I have read that I can do this if I tune the boost down to 12psi or a little under. And although I have heard some horror stories about this, I think it should be fine if I don't push the turbo to its "limits".
My main question is does this sound like an okay way to go? And exactly what would I need to do to run it on my stock set up? Just adjust the waste gate to hold 11-12 psi?
And just so you know, I did search and found A LOT of useful threads... just none of which answers the question of if it was a good idea.

Thank you guys so much for the responses, I really appreciate it! so 14b it is, what exactly do I need to make this work for my car? I know I need a J pipe, and a 1st gen BOV, will it bolt on with my stock oil feed lines? or will I have to get ones from a 1G as well? And will it add a noticeable increase in power? I was hoping to at least gain 10-15hp from it.
