[email protected], T25, very little mods

Not really due to so little mods done to the car...but it did do something

Only cause I didn't have anything to cover the hole on the intake pipe

Having it recirculated like that is not a bad thing....In theory, it can help reduce lag in between shifts, but I doubt you would have to worry about lag with your turbo.

Either way it is extremely impressive to see these times out of a T-25 car man. Keep us updated!

Great read, just constantly seeing little things done and little improvements made. Keep up the good work, I like seeing people use what they have instead of slapping on a dozen of the baller parts.

...just a check in, see what you have planned this season..!

ive got the t25 itch, and opening day is 5 days! Im reaalllyyyy wanting to just break 13s,but i think i have a little bit more to do...

I honestly don't see a FWD breaking into the 13's with a T25 too easily....especially on an otherwise stock setup. The 60ft times are going to kill you.

I'd set the bar to have the highest MPH in your class- perhaps the fastest T25 FWD trap speed in a stock platform....that shows you can really drive and you know your car very, very well.

Right now I need to rebuild the trans, just waiting on the 4 spider center diff from Jacks Transmissions. Third gear started to grind so I decide to do the 4 spider diff and some EvoIII gears with double synchros.

I think I'm just gonna do a 1G non-turbo 60mm throttle body next, go to the track a couple more times and try to get as close to 13.0 as possible.

We'll see what happens.

Well good luck man. I have enjoyed following your progress.

Went to an event today and ran a new personal best of [email protected] with a 1.723 sixty foot.

Since the last post, I rebuilt the trans with Evo III 3rd & 4th double synchros and a 4 spider center diff.

I also started preloading the car using the e-brake which helped get low 1.7 sixty foots all day and awesome .022, .040, and ,.071 reaction times

I hate to bump such an old thread, but this has become my goal to match your times. I just ran a 13.54@100mph with a 1.845 sixty foot on E85 (stock clutch) tonight and I was very happy. Trying to get ahold of an upgraded wastegate to hold more boost! :)

Awesome! I'm also currently in the process of taking my BigT25 to the limit. Waiting on SD, FP race mani, slicks, and shock/springs. You're officially 3rd on the ladder (no nos), if you post your time. I'm FWD however so maybe I can get the fastest fwd t25 :D

Best of luck with it, let us know how it progresses!

I'm currently running a 14b but if I ever rebuild one of my 25s ill run it again. Idk about 1/4 mile I dont have one close but my best with the T25 fwd was a 9.9©69mph with 2.241 '60. Think that was like the fourth time I've ever dragged. I've done only around 15 passes ever LOL.

Last time I ran on 14b I slipped the clutch and it didn't stop slipping till I shifted to third.

Anyone know the top 5 t25 ETs no nos?

Edit ^ 1/8th mile time. idk how to judge 1/4 by the 8th.

1.84 - 1.72 = .12

13.54 - .12 = 13.42, so you're definitely set to go faster than the 13.37 with a better launch as you've already posted a better trap speed.

Post the time to where? And what's a BigT25? Hopefully I can get back out to the strip once or twice this year.

Ya, definitely room for improvement in the launch. I'm getting consistent 1.8-1.9 sixty foots, just need to keep practicing. I don't think the stock clutch is helping matters either. The only think that changed since last time I was at the track was swapping to E85 and retuning. I picked up a full second just from that alone. I'm officially in love with E85 :hellyeah:

By the way, that Holset actuator we have laying around is an aftermarket Banks 43psi unit. Guess I won't be putting that on after all LOL

Are you still using the clutch accumulator on your car? Anthony saw a huge improvement in his T25 time after deleting the accumulator....guess he was losing a lot at the start as well as between shifts.

Wanna trade? :sneaky:

Perhaps I'll take you up on that offer if I can't find an FP one. I'll have my people call your people.

:)

A few people were saying that he needs to work on his launch for his 60 foot time. It's at around a 1.8. Isn't that good? I can't seem to get mine below 2 seconds..

1.8 is a decent 60ft.

1.7 is pretty fast for someone that doesn't spend a lot of time at the track.

1.6 is about all you're going to get on street tires, even for a seasoned racer.

1.5 and faster is what a normal manual drag car with slicks should be seeing.

1.4 is considered pretty nasty, even for a drag car. You're going to be breaking axles and things pretty regularly if you're making a bunch of power while running slicks and cutting 1.4 60's.

1.3 is just plain ridiculous.

1.2 is too fast to comprehend.

I see :hmm:
So my 2.2 60' time is garbage
I need some practice if I'm going to try and go for a good time. My goal by the end of this year is going to be a 1.8 for my 60'.
