I am serious, try it. Quicker than changing torches. I used it to stick weld a tac while I held it, the put tungsten in and started my weld.

thanks..... i can hold my hand about 10" out from the puddle and keep steady. this was with 3/32" rod dipping and moving fast but not cramming rod by any means.

My V160 has treated me well and I like welding with it. So, I'm sure I'll like the V205 even more. Just figured I'd stick to want I'm used to. Nothing wrong with others. :)

I have considered an Eastwood just to use on small AC jobs until I can afford a V205. The Eastwoods are just so cheap with my discount. I could use it for a while and sell it to recoup most of my money after I get the V205.
 
Well here goes nothing. These are my first beads. This is on a 3/32 ruler with .030" flux core wire. Voltage was set to 1 and wire speed was at 30.

I'm going to be picking up some more metal tonight to practice on. Hopefully I'll be able to make me a new fuse box bracket and some other misc. things.
