I just recently installed an apexi n1 turbo back exhaust and now i am having lots of white smoke. I never had this problem with my stock exhaust sytem. I read other threads and i know that it could be my coolant but i checked the coolant level and it was full, my oil is also fine. A friend told me that it's because my exhaust system is new, that it needs a week to break in and the smoke will go away... is this true?

Did you change anything else other than the exhaust (including upping the boost)?

Is the smoke coming from the exhaust tip? Does it smell like oil, coolant, or something else?

Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? What is your boost set at?

yes it is coming out of the exhaust tip. It smells like charcole smoke :coy:... i have my boost set to 14-15 psi

Hmmm...charcoal smoke? I can't think of what would make that smell, but maybe others can chime in. I know that antiseize and other coatings that burn off in newly installed parts can smell...bizarre. Doesn't seem like oil or coolant, so maybe it's something burning off the inside of the new exhaust.

Was your boost at 14-15psi before the new exhaust?

And you have an aftermarket boost gauge?

Probably wouldn't hurt to update your profile (with new exhaust and boost gauge if you have it).
