Would this cause my car to run rough?

I have a 92 talon tsi awd for my daily driver...and its an automatic. Well, lately the car has started idling pretty rough...almost like I threw a pair of cams in there.....no seriously...its not quite that aggressive, but its kind of like a minor lope. After I get past idle I have no porlbmes and the car runs great.. I went through the engine bay and checked out the vaccume lines, and my pcv valve rubber hose had a nice hole in it (it was some pretty crappy hose). I was just curious if this would cause the car to run a bit rough at idle?

Yes, this would cause the rough idle. It is a vacuum leak. I would replace that hose and see if the problem persists. If it does, let me know and I will try to help you out more.

Use this opportunity to perform a boost leak test instead of just replacing that one hose. Just like coolant hoses, when one goes bad, all others should be replaced or at least checked. BTW might as well replace the pcv with an OEM unit.
