wont rev up!!!!

well ive tried just about everything... car still wont rev. it will start but wont rev up just wants to die, backfires through intake whats the problem...

have you checked to make sure you'r timing belt hasn't skipped any teeth? had this happen on a camry once. does it run rough at idle? Is you'r mafs connected? just a couple of ideas, hope it helps.

yea maf hooked up, timing is good idles pretty decent

Have you been playing with the spark plug wire combination or anything of that sort? When I was putting my eprom in when the order was off by one plug it would idle really low, back fire a lot, and wouldnt rev up completely. So maybe if you did wires you looked up the 97+ wire order by accident? If not check for vacum leaks?

plugs are in order and vaccuum/ boost leak wont make the car not rev up apprish the info any other ideas
