have you verified timing is on?

yes timing is dead on ------ yes maf is plugged in ---- changed ecus 3 times with good ones -changed cam sensor and every sensor I could think of and still no go ?......is it possible of something else?.........please shoot me ideas here ----------oh its a NON TURBO-------------please help thank you

Has the engine ever been apart? Im thinking maybe the rings are out of stagger but not completely enough to make the car not hold any compression. If they are barely lining up with the ring gaps you will lose some compression but not all. It will run, but run very rough and will make crank case pressures bad enough you may be able to hear it through the air filters. Also check the PVC valve, vaccum hoses and check you fuel reg if its running rich. Also take a look at the turbo system and look for boost leaks, or maybe the turbo isn't working properly. hope this helps.

This is a non turbo compression is 175 or better across the board im wondering if maybe since i used a early 90 block and later 92 head - perhaps i need to use the early 90 cas?..........im completly stumped here --------the car ran great untill this happened with the old motor all i did was go to a 6 bolt?......still looking for suggestions here -- please keep shooting me ideas --------thanks :banghead:

Did you replace the mass air flow sensor? Sounds like a bad maf. Also was that head from your old motor or was is from a turbo engine? If it was from a turbo engine you will need to change your injectors back to your 240s, or you will be running rich.

i replaced injectors from my old motor every ones saying mass senser and i tried three others from different cars and no luck ------ keep them coming guys

ok - I tried all the above ... new sensers --new maf new ecu - everything I can possibly imagine -and yes the timing is dead on ......the car will start and idle but will not rev up ---- new fuel regulator - etc was installed changed cas ..changed everything --- and still this problem?...all i did was basicly take a pre 91 block and put a late 92 head on it with slightly larger cams and a header and now this problem ----the car oringinaly had a 7 bolt motor in it --- I need help fast

There is NO reason for Turbo Cams in a NT.

I'm sure this is contributing to your issue?

Call me dumb, since I only touched the subject with my old NT...

But that lowers compression... which the NT needs...

The only upgrade of Stock that I've heard about was swapping a NT Exhaust CAM into place on a Turbo Engine for a More aggressive response.

a few of the turbo cams offered a littl;e more duration - my buddy installed the same cams in his car and it runs fine -- im rulling the cams out since it does idle ------but i realy appreciate your thoughts on what else possibly it could be =thanks

Like I said, I could just be dumb... but as I recall there's no reason for it...

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

resolved -------- believe it or not -----they were after market cams -----way to big for my motor -----not enough fuel or tuning to be able to get them to run -so I went and got another pair of stock cams - from a turbo and runs like a kitten now -------so - all you non turbo guys - there is such a thing as too big of aftermarket cams THANKS EVERY ONE FOR YOUR HELP HERE
