wont go over 3 grand

im new to the DSM world so i dont kjnow where to start.

but i just got a 95 gsx and wont go over 3 grand when i put the pedal to the floor but when i slowly lean in to it then it goes over 3 grand. The only mods that are done to it are a cat back, stage 3 clutch, evo III big 16g, and 550 injectors. And the car had sat for almost a year and never had that issue befor that.

I need help i dont know where to start

More than likely a boost leak, either that or the throttle is stuck. Grab yourself some soapy water and check for leaks. If that isn't it warm up the car and check the throttle and see if its getting stuck shut.

ive checked the throttle body befor and everything seemed to be fine

how would i check to see if the maf is working

To check maf start car let idle and while car is idling unplug maf and see if it changes idle or not

im ganna have to try to do that.

the past owner said that it needed a new fuel pump and thats why it was doin that

My 1g is doin the same thing and I just replaced the fuel pump still doing it I have to check my maf as well I believe it should fix the problem I have a blow through system and immediatley I thought my translator went out so bought a new one and it didn't fixed next thing it could be would be the maf also make sure your turbo piping is tight with no leaks

Hey your not hitting fuel cut because of the stock tune are you? it will fall right on its face like that if your running more than stock boost with the stock ECU

If it's not the Maf check your ecu, look for anything melted at all. On my 91 the same thing happened and it turned out to be the ecu had melted chips.

no im not hitting fuel cut im running 14-15 psi andno fuel cut this issue just happened after the car sat for almost a year

Have you (or anyone else) touched anything in between a year ago and now? That could open this up to a lot of different possibilities - gas, plugs, wires, electrical, etc.

no i didnt touch anything on it or nobody else that i know of touched it
