hi i just joined forums. just sold my 95 talon esi for a 95 eclipse gst. big difference. okay i let it warm up before i take it out, i go through first normal shift to second and mash it. when i hit boost it screems till about 55-6000rpms than it just gives out and the whole car shakes like when you clutch and miss a shift. i have no idea why. only thing i do know is my bov line that goes to my intake manifold is shared with my manuall boost controler and needs to be rerouted to have its own line. but not sure thats the problem any solutions??

yeah my shitty a/f guage says its running a little rich but who knows.

so if i take the ecu out again and take the cover off what am i looking for to see if its eprom, tunes or has anything done

Glad to see that you're going to do it right.

I believe for e85 you'll need to run at least 850cc injectors at the very least, but i'd go with 12-1600cc injectors. Also I would go with dsmlink or some other form of stand alone tuning system to run it. It is definately possible to do it on an safc but will be a little more of a headache. I'd recomend the Apexi neo if you do. You'll want a at leat wallbro 255hp or dw300 fuel pump or bigger, and an afrp.

I'd search around the forum a little, and even google it. There are tons of options, and so many people are running it that looking at what other people have done can help you figure out what you want. I'd start by setting yourself a power goal.

im going out to take a look at the ecu now. picture will be on shortly

Engine bay looks good but ecu looks hacked up. Unscrew the cover of the ecu and look inside of it and take a pic for me, most likley it's stock. Try find 450cc dsm injectors on criaglist or something for now should be cheap, or save up $500 for ecmlink. Do a boost leak test too. Never mind I saw in your other thread it's stock non eprom ecu.

There is no way you can control injectors that big with an safc. Running an safc with e85 on these cars is simply pointless.

i plan on running my car AS IS + wideband and safc. would that be okay if i keep everything else the same?

Get the wideband first don't waste time with the safc tricking the ecu and adding wires to an already hacked up ecu wiring harness. Save up and do it right. Next best cheap tuning way is to buy a black box flashable ecu from a 98-99 eclipse or get a eprom ecu and have someone like my1gdsm burn you a chip and he can even do a tune for you on the black box ecu flash. You won't last long with the safc let alot you need to figure out how to dial it in and it never is that great imo.

so even keeping the 550's i cant use just wideband and safc? i dont plan on being a drag racer just a nice everyday driver/fun little toy.

thats all i want

You can, some people just dont like the safc becaus its not a 100% accurate tune, it averages the values you set and tricks the ecu into adding more fuel.

The wideband is a yes no matter what. You need that. Find a good all in one with logging software for a pc/laptop and you can log runs and fine tune your setup
