Windshield probelm

ok, so everyone with a 2g knows how the plastic on their headlights gets all foggy from tiny rock pits right? Well I think the same thing has happened with my windshield. no cracks or rock hit or anything in it, but its like perpetually dirty, and reminds me think of exactly whats going on to my head light lenses.
if I've made any sense and someone knows of some kind of treatment for this please let me know!

interesting idea, the previous ower smoked. :thumbdown I'll scrub the inside extra hard next time.

Headlights yellow because they're plastic. Glass yellows because it gets dirt adhering to it. Use some ammonia-based cleaner on non-tint-filmed glass, and Dawn detergent in mild quantities on tint. Don't get the ammonia on the plastic dash nor trim. Use many clean rags on glass.
