charging probelm

Figured out what was draining my battery. when I shut off my car the rear window defroster stays on thus draining my battery. I have to unplug the battery when I done driving so it wont drain. The defroster is stuck on. I even Took off the center counsole and unpluged where it connects to the botton, that didn't help. What should I do?

are you sure that its the rear defrost that stays on?
if you unplug the switch there is no possible way for current to travel to the defrost.
a switch breaks the current. i could see the switch being bad and needing to be replaced, but unplugging it completely, and still getting power to the defrost? if its true, your car has gremlins.

Actually, if I remember right, the switch controls a relay.So the relay is probably bad, find it and replace it.

Yea im sure its the rear defrosters. I just unpluged the two wires on the back window and it stoped the power.

It sounds like the relay. You may still be heating your mirrors.
