Sorry if this is a bad question. I am totaly new if you cant tell.

Well timing belt went ot in my car last week pistons hit the valves and all that good stuff.

I am looking to buy a new motor online I have a 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD automatic.
When looking for a motor does it have to be specifically for a AWD/automatic or will any 4g63 motor work?

I am looking at getting this motor unless anybody knows any other places for cheaper? I live in Alaska so the shipping gets me pretty good. Which is why I am going though a canada website LOL.

Have you even tore your engine down to see what is damaged yet? Many times the pistons will have just a couple contact marks at the valve recesses and you can simply install a new / rebuilt head at a fraction of the cost and less than half the total repair time.

Everything in those pictures looks hacked to shit. Plus id pay more like 500 for a whole motor not some 1300 dollar bs.

Don't waste time on those JDM websites, unless that's a Evo or something truly imported it's not JDM. Our cars are USDM built in Bloomington/Normal Illinois at the Mitsubushi plant.

They were never made or sold in Japan with the exception of a few imported ones. There are pics of Euro 1g and 2gs out there in Japan trying to trick people into thinking it was a rare JDM model.

The truth is there was a 89 model that was made in 88 as a prototype that I've heard was made in Japan but I've also heard it was also made in the US. Which is true I don't know.

Dont get ripped off, by the way the cyclone intake is a great upgrade for the 1g.

The primary concern I have is the engines for both car being the same. Midway through the 92 model year Mitsu switched from the 6 bolt engines to the 7 bolt motors. Provided the engines are the same then it's no different than bolting all the clutch hardware to the new engine.
