^ Not very helpful.2nd gen trannys for second gen cars dsms.

You can use an Avenger,Talon,Eclipse, Neon with a 420A.
But you have to swap the bell housing, on the older neon transmissions.

The gear ratio will make your car feel a little slower and you will get better gas mileage.
Supposedly it will help turbo spool speed, if you ever go turbo on the car.
But I bought a TSI, instead of turbocharging my 420A.

.I recommend getting a 2001+ neon 5 speed, because the switched over to hydraulic clutches.
And you won't have to swap bell housings.
I used a 2002 neon transmission, found it at a junkyard with only 8,000 miles on it.
i bought a 1st gen talon with a 4g 63motor and i am trying to swap the trans into my 2nd gen eclipse with the same motor my mechian said they have different size torque converter's does it sound right and can you swap them out?
