will BC 280 cams from a 05 evo fit in my 6bolt?

my question is will they bolt directly to my 91 tsi head with stock everything?
also they are used but in excellent condition for $200 is it worth it ?
i didnt want to go 280 i think that alot for a daily driver but i figured its a good deal

You would need adjustable gears, a cam card, and cam wheel to set the timing. The gears will be about 90* different than dsm cams. It would be cheaper, and way easier to just get cams for a dsm.

Exactly. Plus, for 280's, your going to want some better valve springs, and retainers. I just got some bc 280's, along with some BC Ti springs/retainers. Good combo, IMHO.

FFWD sells dks cams that are regrinds to match popular hks cams. I have used them in the past and were cheep and worked fine.

I actually read that area days ago while I was looking for an answer. +1 I have opted not to buy the evo cams but I do like the regrinds I might just buy a pair and call it a day plus no modification to be done

Yes, the evo cams can work, but are in no way shape or form even a good option. You can get several good brands of cams for under $400 a set, that will perform circles around stock evo cams.

Lots of people have no problems with regrinds. Some of the arguments against them are, grinding past the surface hardening, and the change in valvetrain geometry due to a smaller base circle.

I was looking online for them.not many places have them. I think graveyard motorsport is a good deal but couldnt find anyone using them.
