Will a ECU from a 1992 Eagle Talon TSI work in a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI?

Yes, but you have to switch two pins around. I want to say it's pin 6 & 14. But I would search that out, I am probably wrong about the pin numbers.

Oh and as long as the ECU comes from a similar car. Like if the 90 is a manual you need the ECU from a manual vehicle.

Yes its true about the pins. But you also would need to get the Ignition coil and module too from what I remember when looking to do the same to my 1990. Its easy to use a 90 in a 91+ but to use a 91+ in a 90 there are some hardware issues. TPS is also different too and may need to flipped (unsure about the tps think i remember the signal to move it is opposite? There are some write ups on doing the conversions I would do the searching for you but on my cell phone and it dont like complicated tasks like copying and pasting between windows to much.

I was told that you only needed to re-wire the pins, and then get a tach adaptor. Someone correct me if I'm misinformed because I need a socketed ECU faster than ECMTunings backorder time allows me.
