hello dsmers. well today i finally got my plx wideband. now im puting the wideband o2 in the stock front o2. also going to use the dsmlink narrow band simulator. but how do setup for it:confused:. help is needed thank you

You generally want a separate bung for the wide-band o2... Not sure if that changes when using the ECMLink

A+ Information so far....

First made sure your tune is good, wideband reading right/ airflow and MAFcomp is good then you are ready to go simulate.

Ok so click the simulate narrowband button and then go for a cruise. Adjust voltage switch point up or down to keep cruise AFR around 14.7.

Just for your information I have my AEM at 2.65v as a switch point.

Um...with the PLX wideband, some of them have a narrowband output from the box as is. You can just wire that directly to the factory ECU pin for the O2 input. Just sayin...for hard wiring :)

Idk about plx widebands with link but innovative works very well with it, i run one like it, its most compatible with link. But i never used any other widebands.

Hence the use for NBS. learn your info before posting and use proper spelling and grammar too.

OP

Hook it up on the front location, wire the proper wire to the Ecu as stated in your manual to any available ECU input as noted through ECMLink. In link you'll need to tell it where the Wb is located for logging, enable NBS, ensure there are no leaks at the Wb.

Do a thorough log at operating temps and be sure your are logging your wideband and its raw voltage value. The raw value will be under the RAW tab listed as either what you named your wideband or where it's location is.

You want to find the average for all voltages that are given when the wideband reads 14.7,that will be your switchpoint voltage.

Okay my sm-afr has a 0-5v wideband output and a 0-1v narrowband output. What output do I use and what pin on the ecu. Also I plan to use the narrowband simulation on dsmlink. Need help I'm confused

0-1V output to the ecu. You've replaced your stock O2 with a wideband, you want to keep the ecu happy with a 0-1V O2 signal like it gets with the stock narrowband O2's.

So since the wideband is in my stock front o2 housing. Do I cut pin 76 front o2 and then simulate Narrowband with dsmlink

If you are using ECMLink to simulate the narrow band signal, you will only use the 0-5v wire. The 0-1v wire is for people wanting to simulate the narrow band signal on a stock ECU or something that doesn't have the capability internally.

You can tap into any available input wire as mentioned on the list provided on ECMLink wiki. You'll be telling the ECU what is where so it won't matter if you use the front, rear, mdp, baro, etc.
