Looks like someone broke the nipple off and tried to either plastic weld or JB weld it. Was this a recent purchase?

That vac line going to the nipple looks suspiciously loose to be honest. But that may just be the insulated piece over it.

What does the underside of your hood in that location look like?
I want to know that also. Can you get us a closer picture of the damage? Those plastic bypass valves always leak, you may want to update to an evo 8 9 MR metal valve. Its a bolt in affair.

The hosing looks like its seen better days. There a lot of cracking, and also check out the crack in the recirculation hose.

It was normal or didnt look like this not too long ago but it started melting after I drove the car so I don't think it was messed with. I just don't know whats causing it. I'll keep you updated once I get more pics

It looks like there is just a bunch of superglue on it.

You can get a blow off valve from an evo that will fit in its place and its made out of metal
Oh I see, yeah I'll probably grab one later on but I ended up getting the same part at the junkyard. I just don't wanna install it and have it melt again

That's glue. Get a new one.
But OP said it didn't look like this before. So unless the glue under the hose migrated, which I suppose is possible, it's somewhat sudden appearance is a mystery.

Like aluminium when exposed to mercury.

Yes I spelled it like that on purpose just to make some of you itch :p

Thanks for the replies, will be doing that

If it ends up like this again, I'll probably just follow up. Also I brought it to a shop so it could be they did something and I barely saw it now

If it wasn't like that I only see 2 possibilities. They broke it and glued it or they spilled something on it. Those goes look bad. Never seen them do that. Really cracked even for something as old as it is.

yup thats the plan thanks. still gotta figure out where to get both hoses might just wait til a car come up at the junkyard
Spa (the soothing water kind) hoses are popular for the recirc tube. Takes a bit of heat gun at it to make it stretch, but it's a close fit. Otherwise, just search for things that work. You'll likely not find OE parts in good knick.
