Hey guys im just wondering if this is normal. my dip stick is somewhat slanted. never seen this on a 2g. Any ideas why this would be? every 2g that ive seen has the dip stick positioned closely to the heat shiled. this one is basically touching the braket on the power steering pump.

Make sure that the tube which holds the dipstick is pushed all the way down into the block. If you look at the base of the tube you'll see what I mean. If the tube feels loose and wobbly or you can easily pull the tube out by pulling straight up on it then that is likely what is going on.

Also look for a bracket on the tube which bolts to the block to help hold it in place.
