My guess is someone replaced the factory water-to-oil cooler with an air-to-oil cooler, or removed it completely.

Do you have an oil cooler mounted somewhere that looks like a small radiator? It would be connected to lines coming off the housing that the oil filter screws into.

Something like this:

Those are the coolant lines that go to the turbo, some people believe there is no difference running coolant through the turbo or not, others feel differently. Please remove that stock spring clip on the upper radiator hose since it has a worm clamp on it now.

So I dont have an air cooler ill check again but I dont think so. As far as the turbo goes im not sure what it is all I can see on the side of it is TD05. Not sure if that is stock or not. Where should they go is there a peice missing or what? And I will take off that stock spring clip I didnt even notice there was two on there.

Looks like a stock MHI oil feed line to me... :)

Coolant lines...not needed. Its not what you say, its what you mean, i get it haha.

Other than it looking like a hack job, not necessary to have. If you want to, you can get a NT thermostat housing, it wont have those and will clean up the appearance a bit.

Dont worry, you probbaly still have the water cooled ofh just without the water lines running to it. Not a big deal. Im not real big into the oil coolers at all anyways, unless youre in a super hot climate all the time or road race the car.

Im a big fan of the mighty max forward facing housing...easier to access and gets the oil filter away from the blazing hot downpipe.

Calan was referring to the oil feed line to say that its the factory turbo. Of course it's the coolant lines that are blocked off.

By the way SBR Joe, I'm still waiting on that gasket set. Its been almost a month.

Yeah PM me on that. We might have to refund or find another option. Were getting the bone from topline on every end.
