my car has a 6 bolt swap with a 16g turbo fmic 550cc injectors i have this Holley sniper kit I've had for a while its set up for a square bore carburetor plate but i figure all i need to buy is some short lines and a fogger nozzle to use it on my car. i sprayed a 50 shot on my old beater Honda i had back in the day ran about 7 bottle threw it and never had a problem traded it off running just as good as the day i got it. i figure the 50 shot would be safe on a 4 cylinder but i have never ran nitrous with a turbo would it be fairly dependable?

why do you think you need it? the only people that use nitrous with a turbo are the people that spray just to spool their big laggy turbos faster, you have a 16g which spools fast enough. me personally i dont think its a good idea unless you have a hugh turbo that spools slow. do you have the fuel system to cover the turbo and nitrous? dsmlink? aem ems?

you can also spray if you have maxed out the compressor map of a turbo or run stock valve springs. I have stock valve springs on my fully built 2.0 sohc engine and am running 22[si on my h1c and I am putting a 75shot on top of it, even though the turbo still has a lot of usuable space on its compressor map

true, but with a 16g and 550's? comon now! LOL! just sell the kit and buy yourself a MBC and turn up the boost.

i have the fuel pump re wire kit already just need to get a walbro pump and dsm link then im turning the boost up, but i would still like to spray the nitrous in order to reach my power goals without going to a bigger turbo

I've been re-working and re-using the same kit i bought for my 5.0 mustang years ago making it work on every car i've had since ( those being a supercoupe and the gs-t) as long as you're smart about when you bring it on, how big a shot you are using, make sure the fuel is matched correctly and don't use it to make an engine rev higher than it should based on how it's built and you shoudn't have any issues. I've ran it flawlwlessly in the mustang untill 155k miles when i ghetto twin turbo's and sold it.. aRan it on the supercoupe untill it got in a wreck, and now running it on the eclipse and OH_MY_GOD what a blast it is on top of a turbo with E85.. 4th gear spins the quaiffe diff and both fronts right to 8500 just like i was in first or second.. truely need slicks anhd it's only a 40 shot (jetted) but on the dyno it drew nearly 70 hp increase from drawing out heat i'm sure.

Just be smart about it and it's as safe as any othe power adder

my turbo is only a small 16g but its a crappy ebay one i believe, i know they make good power but they just dont last as long, and alot of people i know when i talk to them about nitrous they get all weary like go ahead and blow your $hit up im not doin it to mine, i know as long as you do it right there should be no problems i had a 83 cutlass with a 355 chevy i put a holley blue pump in it and sprayed the hell out of a 100 shot all the time just gotta take a coulple degrees out of the timing and your good to go, but like i said never ran nitrous and a turbo this is the first turbo car ive owned.... and im liking it :)

and for my power goals on this current setup i would like to see around 350-400 to the wheels but i would like to stay away from race gas/e85 etc. just run 93

i also kinda like the intimidation that you get from runnin nitrous, all these little honda's that run out here where i live already dont like the fact its a turbo car LOL they are all scared

go on with upto 70shot carefully.

I ran 100shots a few times on my stock 4g63t out of a vr4rs and it was fun. i was controlled by DSMLink so had no issues was very easy to handle

You can reach those goals with pump gas.

I hope you aren't going to be using it on the street :nono::notgood:. You'll want to check with your state laws to be sure that you can have nitrous on a street car. Each state is different as some you can have the lines hooked up but you cannot either have a bottle attached and/or have it filled while on the street. I think it's an instant impound or a large fine but you would need to check your state laws for clarification.

that why you gotta keep it low pro.... :hellyeah: make a custom compartment.... were they wont find it... and youll be good

my friend has it on his EK hatch...!!!! you cant find it... even ifyou tried all day...!!! he made a custom compartment were his spare tire went...!!!! now you open the trunk and cant see anything out of the ordinary...!!!! better yet if you buy 2 1liter bottles

Sell the nitrous setup and put the money towards some other stuff. You can get 50hp on these cars for a lot cheaper than a 50 shot.

Please name something that will give close to 100whp gain for the price of a used 50shot. I've personally seen a car gain 98hp AT THE WHEELS from a wet 50 shot that was injected BEFORE THE FMIC! Car would have made even more if it was installed right before the throttle body.

Plain and simple, nitrous is THE CHEAPEST WAY TO MAKE HP! Hands down!

In my mustang i took a duffle bag and mounted the mounts through the inside of it< Install bottle, zip up bag in the back = what NOS officer?" LOL

But in all honesty, start with the recomended jetting for a 40 shot and go from there, use common sense and you'll be just fine

As for larger gains than predicted i gained 70 odd horses from what's supposed to be a 40 shot jetted on E85. Turbo cars make much better use of the laughing gas than NA ones. Another thing i love about NE is that i've been in a pack of cars where we were all stopped and 2 of us including myself had bottles full and opened, the officers said "nitrouse huh? that'll get you in some trouble" and let us drive off

I ran a 200 shot on my 383 stroker in a 96 s-10 with 7psi of fuel to the carb and additional 8psi for the fuel selenoid for the nitrous. I never had a problem best time in the 1/8 was 6.83

this is a big differance when you build your 383 stroker to handle nitrous and tune your car for nitrous(fuel), this guy wants to run nitrous on an almost stock car. no added fuel and no engine mangement. its not gunna be smart this way. if he upgrades his fuel system and gets dsmlink of aem ems, ect. then go for it but as is, not smart.:notgood:

i just ordered a wideband o2 sensor, and as soon as i hear back from the guys from dsm link im ordering the dsmlink v3 with a 2g socketed ecu, then all i got left to get is a 190 walbro

as long as everything is tuned you should not have a problem but start out low with the 40 shot you will be suprised how fast the rpms go up. i have a 95 z28 with the little 100 shot along with many other bolt ons and when the spray hits if my tires dont grip within a half second it hits rev limit so start small

I hate nitrous threads on this forum cause so many say to stay away from it. It's cheap, easy, and proven to make huge gains, what's not to like?
Yes it's cheap but each state has it's own laws as well. Not everyone can use it legally. That's the biggest issue IMO is that most people that want it want to use it on the street and is should be used on the track only. See below.

...2 of us including myself had bottles full and opened

That statement right there means there is intention to use on the street.

I agree. IMO most cars on the street that are subjected to it's use are unable to handle it, wether it be user error or an internal problem. If you have all the supporting mods, an engine to handle it and the knowladge of what is safe to use and how to use it then put it on for use on the track.
