Nooooooooooooooo

Get a fuel pressure gauge. Trust me

Get a wide band o2 rig to tune A/F.

k well thanks for the help all.. guess I'll be getting an egt and fuel pressure gauge...

Is OBX any good.. I got a boost gauge by them on it's way to my house via ebay, only $37. I would like to have all the same gauges if possible.

my friend has the OBX-R a/f and boost and he hates them. He bought them because they were cheaper but now he wants Autometer gauges. Thats what I have and I love them. Your choice but I prefer Automter.

Depends on your future plans, but most people log there car and use things to do A/F. I would get boost, fuel pressure, and oil pressure. Yes I have an EGT but hey that was when I was less educated in the DSM world. EGT gauges are tricky, its not as simple as ADD Fuel for high temps and TAKE AWAY Fuel when you are running low temps. Do some research and let us know what you are going to be aiming for in your buildup.

he's talking about me...i got the OBX gauge off ebay liek you but i paid like 55....in my opinon they are POS's....i've taken off my pod to fix the cracked vaccuum tube it comes with more than 10 times. finally i wised up and put a rubber hose about 3" long on the end so it couldnt crack. also, the gauge sometimes just stays at 0 reading no boost or vacuum but eventually will start working....if you're looking for a cheap gauge its fine, if not go with a proven company. btw I have an autometer a/f gauge, obx didnt make one that i saw. and they are a light show pretty much...my friend likes to watch them when shes high because it goes back and forth. woohooo

LOL i picked up a Autometer AF Gauge off the classifieds here for $35, i was sick of looking at the empty hole in my A-Pillar under my boost/vac gauge. Ill vouch for the blinky disco effect it gives off, Goes good with all the Indiglo, neon and other lite up stuff, no good for tuning. I use my Pocketlogger!! Till i do my Fuel system, then ill drop a Fuel Pressure gauge in there!!!

Just to be completely different, one of the gauges that I have found very useful is oil temperature. That gives you a pretty good idea of what's going on in your engine. In my case, it detected an overheat condition way in advance of the coolant temperature. It's also good for seeing when your engine is in fact at operating temperature. I got into these things when I used to fly single-engine airplanes and now can't imagine a car without one.

Im running a 99' RS. Nothing special except the bult-ons (intake, 2.5 cat-back, and headers). What kind of gauges should I be using, if any?

Thanx

Well, it depends, how many headers are you running?

how'd you fit 'headers' on an eclipse?

Just don't get another speedometer, you don't need to know how slow you are going twice.

In seriousness, I would say that you do not need gauges, but if you HAVE to have some, get something like oil and coolant temp.
