Where do these go?

I bought a felpro lower gasket set, and I've basically got the bottom end and head done, I have a lot of o rings and washers left over from the kit, just curious if you guys know where any of them go.

The 6 bolt used crush washers for the oil squirters, but the 7 bolts definitely don't. That's a lot of washers.

Ok great thank you, yeah and my squirters are blocked off, so the washers hopefully aren't needed

One of those is probably for the oil baffle tube. Others may be for the oil pump.

I didn't end up opening the oil pump, it was fairly new and seemed fine

Many aftermarket gasket kits always include something you don't use, like oil pan gasket etc.
As for the o-rings, on a short block mainly you should replace oil pump castle plug/dipstick tube/water pump pipe o-rings.
As for the crush washers, even if the block is 7 bolt, if your block is from a turbo 1G 7 bolt or a JDM turbo 7 bolt such as early EVO's, RVR's etc, you would need those washers.

If the oil pump is still apart from the block, I suggest to inspect the oil pump. It's not difficult and it doesn't take long. The oil pump is one of the most important part for the engine. You shouldn't put a guesswork on it.

The only seal for oil pump is the one that goes on the front case (it’s not an oring) and there are no seals internally. The oil pick up tube is a flat gasket. Same shape as the one for the turbo drain. Like Hiroshi said, it’s probably extras they throw in there.

There aren’t that many orings on a 4g63. I can only think of 4, cas, dipstick tube, biss and water pipe.

Thats too broad of a statement. 1g 7bolt used bolt in squirter. 2g 7bolt do not. Side note this is also one of the theories behind 2g crabkwalk because the squirter are fed from the main oil galley on a 2g.

Cas? Cam angle sensor? I just finished installing that but didn't see a place for one, it's a 97-99 style sensor

Yes. 1g does have an oring on the cas. Not sure for 2g

Correct. I was just talking about long block in general. Still not that many

The 2Gb CAS has an O-ring for the sensor to seal it with the housing. The housing uses a "gasket" (RTV) to seal against the head.

Oh ok, I didn't actually remove the sensor, so I'll do that and replace the ring, thanks man
