try looking at some pte turbos theres a couple in your budget that'll bolt up to your setup and make really good power

Holset HX-35 will get you to that point, if not, cant go wrong with an HX-40, an HX-35 should be well within anyones price range, Theres lots of info, just read all the threads, my HX-40 on my gst is awesome, just make sure you have an LSD ;)
Forget about PTE, they implode like fake holsets!

I have had very good luck with both our own brand (SBR) turbos and the PTE turbos. I think the G60 is a great choice for economic power, also a journal bearing PTE 50 or 60 trim would also do the trick. We are also running a special on SBR 3076R and 3582R as well, PM me for more info on these if you are interested.

1. Evolll16g......might be too small.
For 350whp? Not with a good tune. This is the best turbo you have listed here, dollar for airflow.
2. SBR G-60
Not a bad turbo; basically a Kinetic-built Garrett T04E-60 with a DSM bolt-on turbine housing. Not sure about the reliability of the Kinetic turbos but the Garrett E60's are tough as nails if oiled properly and treated properly.
Stay away from the older Garrett-based Bullseye turbos....especially the M-trim and V-trim. These turbos are known to be laggy as hell, flow the same as (or less than) an Evo III 16G, and surge like crazy if you crank up the boost.
why not pte?
HORRIBLE reliability and the poorest-flowing DSM bolt-on turbine housing design of any manufacturer.

^ ^ ALL PTE turbos.

If your looking for a true 350whp I would look into something larger than the 16g. Granted I dynoed on a low outputting dyno but I only made 330whp on a 16g at 32psi on e85 with a very aggressive tune.

But like stated stay away from PTE. Ive seen more paperweight PTE's than any other turbo manufacturer.

thanks for the heads up. I've heard that the bullseye turbos aren't all that reliable either.

I'm thinking I might just try out the G60 ...the lag will help with my fwd and the power is what I want.

Its like the same price as the 16g, so why don't more people run it?

keep In mind, he is front wheel drive. It shouldnt be too hard to get 350 hp into your gst. Look at the dyno challenge posted on here, there is plenty of people making 350 hp with the evo3. Another turbo to look at would be the fp 68hta.

Garrett-based, meaning it will not be as reliable as a 16G and it will not be a direct-fit replacement either. You'll need to buy a completely different oil supply and drain line to work with the G60....although you'd need a j-pipe for a 16G so it may come out a wash.

The E50 compressor is rated at nearly the same airflow as the E60 in the streetable boost levels, but the E50 spools a good bit faster....so most guys will opt to go the 50-trim route over the 60-trim. Being that the E50 spools faster, it works better at lower boost levels than the E60, making the E50 a better choice for pump gas.

i know a guy at 5800ft here in colorado running a 11.6 on a completely stock long block 2.0 (7bolt)with a honed intake manifold, 1g throttle body, 255 walbro, 650 injectors and a big 16g but he has a gsx

So I won't have good reliability with a garret based turbo?
They're hit-or-miss....this guy didn't seem to have too much luck with his Garrett 50-trim.

They're pretty fragile to oiling...too much or too little will be fatal.

I'm looking at either a TD06 20g or some variation of it, Buschur Racing 20g, Hann Racing Super 20g, etc. Justin, what are your views on these for 350-400+ on a FWD?
We'll soon find out I suppose- I'm going to be using a Sleeper 16G / Bastard 20G on my FWD which I built myself consisting of a machined Evo III compressor cover and a TD06 turbine in a machined standard 7cm turbine housing. My goal is around 350-400 at the wheels.

Wow that is kind of hard to believe. What track? I couldnt even break into 11's in the is altitude and my 16g car is pretty much maxed.

On Kamronman's (DSM Forums - View Profile: kamronman) 1G FWD, I was able to pull out 354whp on straight 92 pump gas at 26psi on the Evo 3 16G on English Racing's DynoJet. Go check out his profile, it has his dynosheet on it to look at. Being that he was FWD, the dyno numbers were much more forgiving than our AWD counterparts due to the approximately 15% drivetrain loss AWD sees on the dyno. Being that you are FWD as well, you would have that advantage as well. Here was his list of mods when we made 354whp:

'91 Eclipse GS-T
Stock 6-bolt, stock headgasket, stock headbolts, stock intake manifold, eBay tubular exhaust manifold
Unported Evo 3 16G @ 26psi falling to about 24psi
Hallman Pro MBC
eBay FMIC w/ Greddy knock off BOV
Evo 8 560cc Injectors w/ Walbro 255 fuel pump and AEM AFPR
DSMLink v2 w/ Glowshift Wideband tuned by me
Dejon Intake w/ 2G MAS
MAP external dump o2 housing w/ Tial 38mm WG
eBay 3" turbo-back exhaust
ACT 2600 clutch w/ stock flywheel

We were going to try for more, but the Evo 8 560s were way out of fuel (about 110% IDCs OMG). So I'd say go for the Evo 3 16G. Stupid fun turbo!

evo3 might spool too fast for me being fwd. I really want either the sbrg60 with 1 year warranty or the 20g...i don't know what options I would get for the 20g...td05 or td06..also I want to stay internally gated and I don't wanna kill my water pipe.

1. SBR-G60...where would be a good place for the oil lines for this, I don't want to over or under oil this...I heard they are sensitive.

2. 20g with either td05 or td06

*****internally gated with not killing water pipe.

You want the tdo6. Its a bigger turbine wheel and spools just as fast as the tdo5.

I would go with the TDO6. I know you can get a 20g with an internal wastegate but I'm not exactly sure where. Here is a MHI TDO6H but it's externally gated.

There is the Buschur Racing TD05/6 hybrid 20g but I'm not sure if it comes internally gated or not, it doesn't say on their site. A quick phone call could get the answer though.

What about a FP Green? It's internally gated.
