Must be just a 2g thing then. The only way Id be able to know for sure would be to have all four sets of axles and measure them. Maybe 1g FWD and AWD axles are the same as the 2g AWD and the 2g FWD is the oddball with the larger shafts?

However, I know that you cannot use 2g awd half shafts for the 2g fwd trans..

I am kind of getting a kick out of how many people are getting angry at you today, Chris! Just not your day, eh? ;)

Does anyone know if the FWD driver side tripod cup can be fitted to the AWD half-shaft making a Frankenstein axle?
 
Hey LS, that thread is in the graveyard now but just as you and i both warned of leaky connections i decided to go fire up the eclipse. Sure as shit, leaking like all hell. The quality of the hose and AN fittings on those ebay junkers is garbage. Just thought id let ya know.
I hope that guy buys a decent afpr.

I may be blunt about how I word things, but I mean well LOL

I think the AN fitting on my rad hose that failed on the dyno the weekend before last and caused this now two week delay (some of which was the holiday) may have been a red-horse or similar knock off fitting a shop that shall remain nameless used. :banghead:
 
The stock axles are pretty strong. we have manage counless low 1.5 60fts on the stock axles.. if anything get a hold of Prayonto racing on pricing for a set of their FWD level 5 axles.

I have to imagine it's how you load them up before leaving, right?

Jeez 1.5x sec 60' .. I'll be thrilled if I get my pig sub 2.0 by the end of next year. LOL
 
That looks almost like the 2G slave accumulator. I ditched that thing long ago. my awd it worked great but the fwd is more predictable without it.

I was cutting low 1.6s on the stock 2g axles which are a little bigger than the rest. I didn't notice any real difference going from the awd with halfshaft over to the 2G long axle. I dont preload either. I haven't really broke anything since im on a welded diff. But I think by looking at my logs preloading might gimme a little bit off my 60' time.

Cant wait to get my car cutting consistent mid 1.5s. Nailed a couple 1.58s but that's it.

well.... i'm currently looking for an AWD chassis for a drag build but have only come across really clean FWD cars. You guys have me considering just grabbing a GST a little. Anyone run an AT FWD drag car? How's the FWD AT tranny?

Congrats on all the 10sec passes in a FWD car. It's really insane.
