I will be going allong (seems to happen more in 2nd then any other, but still sometimes in 3rd) and I will punch it, boost goes up (running about 14lbs T25) and then all the sudden out of no were the car cuts out and it feels like hitting a brick wall. Immediately the car goes again...every once in a while it happens a couple times in the same acceleration.

Now, I have been told many different things including boost creep, ICP leak, etc etc. But It doesn't really match any of those...its not at any curtain RPM but is at max boost and only when im pulling hard.

Are you sure your running 14lbs? Fuel cut normally doesnt happen until higher boost when the injectors max out. Check to make sure you are not overboosting and do a boost leak test. Also, when did this problem start?

check your plugs.. i had similar shit with my car. i re=gapped my plugs and cleaned them up a bit. runs like a baby again.

It actually cuts fuel when the maf is over run, not when injectors are maxed. Do a boost leak test because there is a 90% chance that is your problem. Also make sure you are running 14psi and not creeping.

Ok, yes I am running 14lbs and it actually only holds that till about 4000 then drops to about 12. This started happening a while ago...before I put in the FMIC but after the BOV (which does not recerculate and I just ordered 1G BOV) Could it be anything with the BOV or maybe even the SAFC2? It started about the same time as the SAFC and the BOV...I will do a leak test tomorrow

EDIT: also replace plugs and wires...gapped right with 8mm NGK wires

I agree with others here but also another little thing to check is your Injectors make sure all of them are snuggled in. I broke one of the clips on mine so from time to time the injector comes out just a tad and caused the same thing sometimes at idle and sometimes in WOT it acts up if it pops out.

Ok I checked the injectors and they are all in good. Also I might add my CEL is on for 1103 which is wastegate problem, however I changed it tested the old one (fine) and all my vac lines are good including to the stock boost controller...don't know if this is a matching problem, but the 1103 CEL is a recent thing...

I had your same problem and it turned out to be that the exhaust side of the turbo was cracked in half. Thats probably not it in your case but you never know.

As for your issue, you're on the right track to do a boost leak test tomorrow. I'll bet that you either have a leak at the BOV or in one of the iC pipes. Also, is there any spot on your SAFC that's tunred up or adjusted on the + side? If so that will cause you to hit fuel cut. You have to use an AFC with bigger injectors to fool the ECU into thinking you're getting less air, so all your adjustments would be on the -/negative side of the base line.

EDIT: your profile shows 650's on your wishlist, so i take it you're on stock injectors, this leads me to believe that your issue is directly related to having an SAFC on stock injectors.

I did what you said and there is no cracks :) I was planning on doing a leak test today, but with that cheesy BOV is it worth it? I would like to find all the leaks at once so if the BOV leaks first any ideas on how to just cap it off so I can test everything else while I have it all hooked up?

P.S thanks for all the good info...would of never thought of that for finding cracked areas
