What's the book time for replacing a 420a clutch?

This is prob no help to you, but when i had my 2g rs, i had to replace the clutch, this was my first time ever to do such a thing it took me 3 days. It was the most difficult thing for me to do it took 3 days because i just kept getting pist and giving up for the day. I vowed to my self i would never own another Eclipse in my life (i lied to my self) but the second time i did it it took me 5hrs working slow keeping everything organized, and taking little breaks here and there..

Good luck, if its your first timing doing this i wish you luck i absolutely hated it.

Ah, well the thing is, I've done it myself before, I just swapped an automatic trans for a manual trans. But, three days later the clutch went out, apparently it was bad from the store. So I got frustrated and brought it to a shop. They're still looking at it to make sure that's the problem, but I want to get an idea of what the book time to change it is, so I can get a good idea of how much it should cost. because they wont give me a quote until they're sure of the problem.

I wanted to get a ballpark idea of price if it is worst case scenario, the clutch.

They charge 60 an hour, and charged me 300 when I had an auto tranny replaced in another FWD car

i also had one done on my Rs at the shop, here in town and for parts and labor they charged me a $1000, i thought it was kinda high.

Depending on where you took it, I'd say in the $650-$800 range. $1000 is pretty high but I believe it.

I'd say between 6-8 hours, depending on the shop you take it to.
