Whats my bore?

I am trying to figure out how many littiers my motor is. its a 92 4g63 block bored .20 over stock. Would that make it like a 2.3L?

if it is only .20 over than no it is not a 2.3L. your bore size is 85.50 and stock is 85.00. if you have a 100mm crank then it will be a 2.3L stroker motor

and for future reference here is a guide i guess you could say for bore size's on our motors.
stock-85.00mm
.20 over-85.50mm
.40 over-86.00mm
.60 over-86.50mm

as long as i am correct that is right.

Please state it correctly. It's .020", .040" overbore. If you say it's a .20" bore, that's damn near 1/4"!! Just a pet peeve of mine. That little missing zero makes a HUGE difference in size. With the .020" overbore, your displacement just went from 1997cc to 2020cc. You now have a 2.02L motor!

In order to get a true 2.3L (actually 2.32L), you stick a 100mm stroke crank out of a 2.4L in your block, along with boring the cylinders out .040".

I once poked fun at a vendor on here stating .20 over such and such pistons yada yada...

He cried and I got an infraction.

How in the hell can you push performance parts claiming the pistons are .20" overbore.

You all can see that it's a very large pet peeve of mine especially since I'm a mechanical designer...

it be ashame but still funny if some one dropped there block off to be bored .20 then come back with .020 pistons...
