What wastegate do i need

i am thinking of getting the following turbo it is a full dsm bolt on, but the wastegate is missing what and where would i find the correct wastegate?

How about pictures of the wastegate area of the turbo.... Is there even a flapper in that turbine housing? Help us help you.

there is i will email the guy to send my those pictures, i havent bought the turbo yet.

I cant tell from the pics if there is a flapper in there or not. But on the compressor cover I dont see a spot for an internal wastegate actuator to mount to. So I'm going to say that it is set up for an external wastegate off the O2 housing.

Why not just run an external setup? You will have way better boost control. Weld over the actuator arm hole, port out the flapper hole and get an external to run off o2 housing.

I plan on doing the above with my e3 16g. I want better control over my system. Hence, the external wastegate setup. I'll still recirculate mine tho, don't want the hassle of the atmospheric dump.

It looks like a wastegate from a pte turbo would fit. Mine looks very similar.

Any T04E actuator will work (like those on PTE or SBR / Kinetic turbos).

Keep in mind there are no Garrett T04E turbos that come internally-gated from the factory, so you may end up using a T04B actuator and modifying it to fit.


Interesting looking turbo you have there....appears to have an older 7-blade GT3071 compressor but uses a standard T3 backplate and center housing. Is it ball-bearing?

i dont have the turbo, i am thinking of getting it, but i wanted to see how much it would be to get a wastegate for it. the guy wants to trade me the turbo for my ps3 set up.
