Well my T-25 died this afternoon, so i went and purchased this turbo. The turbo is new, and came in a box from advancedjdmparts.com. I got this turbo for $130 he wanted $200...My main concern all i need is 1g oil lines correct, i have a j-pipe...any opinions on this are more than welcome

The square gasket goes to the mani to the turbo, the more oval one goes to the turbo compressor and j-pipe, the other is to the downpipe off the hotside of the turbo....The silver screws screw threw the exhaust mani into the hotside of the turbo those 4 holes. And the oil feed line should be a walk in the park....Experiment

im wondering where the washers, and the black bolts go. along with the silver screw, and bronze fitting...

Two washers go with each banjo bolt...That silver screw i have no clue. Those bronze adapters i THINK(dnt hold me to it) goes to the oil feed line the stock one. Hold on, how are u runing the oil feed line are you using a 1g feed line or are you using the stock feed line?

You can use either one. I would recomend the 1g feed. unless if you want to run the 2g feed. From the head to the feed on the turbo..If you dont have a banjo for that head go buy a i think its a 10x1.25 banjo brake bolt from o'reilly auto zone or whoever(thats what i bought and it works perfect) and you'll need a 3/8 brass plug for the oil filter housing when you remove the feed line from there..and you'll also need the 1g oil return tube too with a gasket or u will have leak problems.

so does this look correct? for 2g feed?

and im assuming this is for the j-pipe.

Thats correct and make sure u put a washer in between that adapter and the turbo. And when u tighten it dont do it too tight and break them. And believe me its easy. Other than that everything is a go. Make sure u put those gaskets in too. I forgot at one point and had to take everything loose again, and the worst part everything is hand tightend:banghead:

And so the rest of this somehow works for a 1g feed?

Exactly..That big banjo goes to the turbo and the smaller banjo goes to the head. Is that small gold one a plug or a adapter.

Ok well u have all your parts......Thats the plug from the feed line at the oil filter housing when you remove the line screw in that plug, But it does (LOOK small)but could be perfect. Do you have the 1g feed

No i dont have a 1g feed, im kind of a $170 limit on what i can spend (this was all unexpected). I was going to purchase if i HAD to. Do i put teflon tape in the top adaptor(or will it melt)? and you suggest putting a washer under the adaptor?

I didnt use teflon, but defenitly a washer...It wouldnt hurt to use it either, so thats up to you. And i will tell you about EBAy turbos, i know, i know you will hear ups and downs, but guess what im runing a ebay Turbo right now too. A 16g from sportJDM. I also had a mhi 16g. The only difference i found was the Ebay turbo sounded better..LOL..seems to have a huge spool just for 10psi. But other than that it has been reliable. Just make sure you run some oil through it to get it lubed before you install it and dry start it.

Same turbo i just purchased :hellyeah: So how does it feel compared to T-25?

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/50977628@N05/4701988589/" title="0615100111 by thamarshan, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/4701988589_392f0a8014.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="0615100111" /></a>

I'll put it like this...Before i was car-less (to get points off my liscense) my last DSM had a 16g on 15 psi and they say thats not its efficiency range but that BxxxH pulled like a monster compared to the t25. A 3rd gear pull felt like a 1st gear pull no letting up. So after i got this one runing, i didnt have a boost gauge so i would get on it and then get off not to hit full boost and not knowing where its at. But it felt like 13~14psi. But when i bought a boost gauge it was only on 10psi(Wastegate pressure) so i cant wait to crank it up because i miss how it felt-very addicting. But its a major difference

You need to sell it and buy an MHI turbocharger. That is a china made piece of crap turbo.

Wow someone from around the are...I bought cause i NEED a turbo, this is my DD. and everybody on CL wants $120 and up for a 14b, so $130 new sounds good to me.

You got your opinion, I'll have mine after i install this. :hmm:

You'll need to port the wastegate hole on that P.O.S. if you want any sort of boost control.

The Chinese were nice enough to give you a 34mm flapper, but the hole underneath comes in around 22mm:

That hole needs to grow to around 30-31mm in order to gain control of your boost level:

Another issue you're going to find is the outlet of the Evo III turbine housing is around 65mm while the inlet of your stock 2G turbine housing is more like 52mm. If you don't port the factory 2G o2 housing you'll be creating a huge bottleneck in the exhaust system.
