Hey guys...just looking for something else to put on the car before i install dsmlink.... I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on upgraded throttle bodies? Which ones are good? Are they even worth the money? and what type of performance gains should i be expecting?

I have 2.3 built motor, vrsf fmic, afpr, thermal exhaust, 3inch dp, and open dump O2 housing, also have 20g, 1000cc injectors, and dsmlink all on the way.

any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

You aren't going to be installing a 90mm throttle body on the stock manifold without a decent amount of fabrication. I'd stick with a stock 1g throttle body. IF is plenty for your setup. Spend the money on something else.

Ok im glad i asked this because really i had no clue if it was going to be worth it or not. glad i posted this.thanks for your answers.

i went with the 1g turbo tb (92) and love it noticeable power gain just with the swap alone and it will take a long time to actually max out capabilities.

Has anyone used the BBK throttle body? I was considering getting that one,but don't know anyone who's used it.

Bbk throttle bodies are good. Bbk makes good stuff. I know it's a different car but I had bbk stuff all over my mustang including a throttle body.

What exactly is required to run a 1g TB on a 2g with EGR and all related parts?
Do I have to remove any of that crap or is it just a direct swap with same vacuum ports?

It's pretty much a direct swap, although you need to also take the two sensors from your 2g TB, they look exactly the same on the 1g TB but they are different.

Although in the 1g TB you'll have an extra vacuum port you'll need to cap off, it's the port that's angled away from the rest. That's about it, you should port match you intake manifold too since you'll have a bigger TB and the manifold is sized for the stock TB.
