First off im new to the turbo dsm's I just got a 95 gsx awd that needs alot of TLC! it has nothing special mainly all stock the orignal owner has it set on 15psi ... I honestly do not know how to turn it down could anyone show me a video on a stock 4g63t, another question .... what size bolts go into the driver side cv bracket that holds it up on the case? i figured they are about 3 inchs long and maybe a 10 metric please help I'm a teenager so please don't bash me to hard, take this into consideration that im new to dsm's and I LOVE MY CAR, i dont want to run it on 15psi as a novice so pleaseeee help me!!!! thanks! :p:confused:

Get a MBC or Manual boost controller, connect the appropriate vacumn hoses and crank that sucker down! Although 15psi with your stock setup isnt TOO bad. Hope that helps

Well i have no budget really, Unless the cheap ebay ones would work for me at least to get it turned down? or if someone on here has a handme down one i have several items i could trade or maybe even cash. Before my axle came down there was no 2nd gear at all what could have caused that? i think the owner before me ran the piss out of the car.

You can build a mbc cheap and easy - but no 2nd gear? sounds like your gonna need a tranny ar a rebuild - and i wouldnt keep driving it that way either itll only do more damage:ohdamn:

thats what blows i haven't gotten to drive it :( Driver side axle dropped because owner before me stuck stubby little bolts in the bracket that bolt to the case to keep it up and not just free spinning, what all would i have to rebuild in the tranny to revive 2nd gear if anyone could give me a link please! thanks the help has been great but still I wish i could drive it! :banghead:

Since you already have a boost gauge which is a good start (although I'm not confident about the brand) and it accurately measures 15psi, to be able to adjust it to your preferred setting you need a boost controller as mentioned above. Manual, electric or DIY, which ever fits your budget is up to you. But imo this is not the first thing you should look into since our stock engines can take that much pressure anyway (if properly well maintained). First, start with fixing the axle problem, then when it's drivable try to make a clearer explanation of what exactly is wrong with your tranny. Rebuilding a tranny is not easy and if you want it rebuilt by a professional it's not cheap either. Maybe all you need is to change the tranny oil which is a good start to determining the actual problem. I know you didn't mention it but before modifying the car look into maintaining it thoroughly first. This will give you a better platform for an exceptional project you choose to aim for.

You could just run a vacume line from the wastgate actuator to the compressor housing nipple....Then you will run wastegate pressure. When my cheap ebay mbc crapped out on me thats what I did.It ran at about 12psi if I can remember right. Its free too:thumb:

GUYS an MBC isnt going to help adjust boost lower. MBC's will only allow boost to be run at the stock WG pressure. It has to have an MBC on it if hes running 15psi on a stock turbo.

+1 on running your boost source from the compressor housing.

orignal owner has it set on 15psi ... I honestly do not know how to turn it down could anyone show me a video on a stock 4g63t

How about you just lighten your right foot? Just because it's set not to go past 15psi doesn't mean it has to reach 15psi either, just leave it be for now.

As for the axle and tranny problem it sounds like you need to buy a haynes manual, every DSMer should have one, I picked mine up on ebay for $8 shipped. Also check out this website, great source for proven information.
