So I have a 99 GST with the original motor, I don't know all of what was done to the car before I bought it, and sadly I didn't get too much time with her until she ended up getting parked about a year and a half ago after the engine blew a month after I got it.
I'm finally getting financially stable enough to start throwin money at what turned out to be my project
, and I'm wondering what I should look for when tearing apart the engine as far as salvageable parts goes. I was told when the car was looked at that I have a hole in the front and back of the block and that I "obliterated"(Shop's words, not sure how bad that actually is
) the #2 Cyl.
Also when looking for salvageable parts, what would I need to hold onto/what would swap over to a 6 bolt motor, because it looks like that is probably going to be the direction I head with this project.
Thanks guys!
