What is stock oil pressure at high rpms and is 62psi ok?

I struggled with >100 psi (20W50oil) oil pressure (around 5k rpm) after doing BSE, so I changed out the oil relief spring with a softer spring and shimmed the oil relief plug. I am now seeing around 20psi idle, 50 psi at cruise, and 62psi WOT around 7K rpms. The FSM doesn't indicate what the high rpm oil pressure should be (only the minimum at idle), does anyone know what that is? And is my 62psi at 7K rpms ok? I was shooting for 75psi, but ended up with 62psi and I just want to make sure that pressure is ok and not too low. My readings are coming from an Autometer electronic gauge measuring pressure at the OFH. Thanks!

I checked the link and it didn't seem to help too much... That op had around 80-90psi at high rpm (w BSE) and asked if it was normal, but I think that's a little high personally and another guy in the link said a STOCK healthy engine will hit 100psi and I'm not sure I believe that (but I could be wrong because I never had my autometer oil gauge on the car when it was stock). Thanks anyway sir. Anyone else care to chime in? Thanks

Honestly, no problems that I know of. I just didn't like the fact that it used to peg my oil gauge at high rpms, because I could be have running either 100psi or 150psi??? That's why I changed the relief spring and shimmed the relief plug. Now, I just want to know if what i did (which lowered max pressure to 62psi) is too low; or want to know if it at least exceeds STOCK max pressure at high rpms. Am I worrying over nothing?

UPDATE 6/10/3: FWIW, I just got off the phone with Forced Performance and they think 62psi is ok for my journal bearing FPGreen (fed off the OFH) and the engine overall. I am planning to keep running my car as-is with this pressure until I get a chance to remove the shim from my oil relief plug, which should get me back up to around 75psi (which seems to be the number many people feel safe running after BSE from my searching) just so I feel a little safer. Thanks. RESOLVED.

On a recommendation from another forum member, I replaced the factory oil relief spring with this softer, slightly shorter (maybe about one coil shorter), spring from JNZ:

Oil Filter Housing Spring : JNZ Tuning

To elaborate on shimming the relief plug, I added a thick M20? copper washer on top of the existing crush washer that was already on the oil relief plug (circled in red in the picture). The copper washer shim backs the plug out just a little to reduce preload on the spring to allow the relief valve to open easier.

These two measures combined, along with an already ported OFH, significantly lowered my high rpm oil pressure after doing BSE.

That's my plan, to remove the copper washer as soon as I get the chance (it might be a week or so though).

A related question: Can someone who HAS their balance shafts in place, and has an oil pressure gauge, let me know what kind of pressures you are seeing at high rpms? I'm curious to know what kind of pressures the balance shaft guys are running at high rpms. Thanks

Update, I removed the copper washer and now the car idles at 25 psi, cruise is around 50-60psi and high rpm oil pressure maxes out at 75psi. These are all measurements made with oil at warmed up operating temps. Right on the money!
