What is Fuel Cut

What is fuel cut? I seen this term thrown around on the forums. But cant find any solid info on what it is. I did use search and did look at all the topics the forum suggested when I typed in my title.

So anyways what is fuel cut?

My car is stuttering at High Boost. I.E. whenever the stock boost meter (not gonna call that joke a gauge) hits the the third tick mark in 4th and 5th gear it buckles jumps stutters loose power for second or two etc. Then it picks back up. Sometimes it does it more than once.

Do I have fuel cut issues or something else?

no wideband, datalogger, or fuel mods so far until i can afford it. basically bone stock except MBC and boost gauge. with that said, would you have a safe psi reccomendation?

11-12psi, which is stock, would be safe. Without the other gauges and datalogger, you'll never know what the engine is doing.

i think im running about 13 now so ill turn it down a notch. I appreciate the help man. Im new to the site, and am quite impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable people!

i would stick with 12 psi. save your cash and invest in link a wide band some injectors a walbro and well get that 16g on there. then we can worry about the boost for now just hold 12 man

VFAQ fuel pump rewire simple, quick to do, cheap and effective! i have a 16g w. a 3"turbo back and i was hitting fuel cut at around 13psi, now im pushing 17psi without a problem!
