What if I cannot land a 4G63?

We all know how rare the GSX and GST are, especially since I would like an auto trans. So my question is, has anyone who has a 420a ever used Hahn Racecraft for turbo systems upgrades? Just found this while searching the web. If I can find a GS or RS with leather (if RS and GS were available with leather) maybe I'll go this route.

Got my awd from craigs list cheap, and a free block from a buddy, had a spare from a prior cheap 1g.

yup. I've used craigslist and autotrader. Also, ebay and cars.com. There are not many auto trans gsx's or gst's and if there are they're usually spyders. I've looked at the classifieds here, but most are 5 speed and/or too far away. Hopefully the car I find is only a few hours away at most. Thanks for responses. Anyone know about Hahn?

They're not even very rare. It's not like they were a limited production vehicle. I work with someone who was a quality engineer at the assembly plant in Normal from 89 to 99 and he said they pumped out a TON of them during that time. Granted not all of them are still on the road, and the production numbers are not what a modern assembly plant puts out, but the point still stands, thousands were built. Now one that's in really good shape with low miles, that's a little more tricky to find.

Dude, there are plenty of gsx/gst out there.. SOOOO MANY of them, they aren't as rare as you think.

For example. Take this car and un#### it for $1000

$1800 aint bad for this 2g awd tsi

My friend is selling a 71k mile 1g auto awd that is completely stock and he didnt sign the title so the next owner will be the technical 2nd owner. PO was a 70 yr old lady. He's looking for $5800. One of the cleanest 1g DSM you've ever seen.

I like the 2g better.

You could always find a 2G GSX 5speed and do the auto conversion. There are a couple of threads of people doing that.

You've got the whole Northeast megalopolis as your shopping area and you can't find an auto 2g WTF

You need to be patience friend. They haven't made DSMs in 10+ years, pickings are getting slimmer. Just keep at it and check daily. It took a while before I got the cars I have.

They were definitely worth the wait though :thumb:
