Is there a way to tell whether I have a stock headgasket, or a mitsu 4 layer without taking it off? I bought my car, and the engine was rebuilt, and I lost his phone/address. Will the metal one sit up a little more?

Look at the corner underneath the thermostat housing right where the head meets the block. There should be enough of the gasket sticking out for you to tell if its a metal or composite gasket.

I've never seen a metal gasket, so I'm guessing it's composite? How could I be able to tell? If its a bit flimsy or something?

Hmm...

Well, it's not super flimsy but it is able to be pushed some. Felt/composite ones are made out of aluminum, correct?
