What downpipe do I have?

I picked this downpipe up along with a catback used locally. The downpipe is actually never used/new. However, when I bough it, I didn't realize it is a non-cat delete pipe. This was my mistake for not realizing at the time. I've been out of the DSM game a while and almost forgot how long the cat delete downpipes are. I want to add another resonator so this is a non-issue. However, I texted the gentleman I bought it from and he didn't even know it was a non cat delete pipe. It was new and sat around his home for a while.

Here is where I'm stuck. Looking at this thing, i'm not sure its even for a 2g awd. Looking at pics online, its possible this thing is for a 1g awd.

Whats your call?

(I hate being a cheapass, but my budget has changed since I got married. Same old story though. LOL)

Yup, as talonalex92 says, that sure looks like a 1g AWD dp. Also, like he says, the 2g AWD is pretty much just straight.

Hard to say for sure, but it might be a 2g AWD DP for a cat. Here are pics of my 2g AWD SSAutoChrome exhaust...been on my car for 6 years :)rocks: BTW):

Notice the DP kinks to the passenger side after the flex section then straightens out just before the catless straight pipe (2nd image). Yours does the same but has a flange at the start of the straight pipe (after the 2nd kink). Might be a 2g AWD DP for use with a cat.

Look and judge for yourself. I'm not sure.

Actually, it's been 6 years since I've looked closely at it, so I'm not sure where the cat would connect; mine is catless, so I paid no attention to that particular detail. Might be between the two bends after the flex section, might be after the 2nd bend. But the bends seem to be very similar to my exhaust.

It's really easy to drop your exhaust (few bolts and hangers) and test-fit the other DP. It might be perfect for a bolt-on DP to your cat, but if it's 3", you need a reducer and enough space between the end of th DP and entrance to the cat to fit it. Unbolting your existing DP from the cat might be a PITA. I dropped my stock exhaust and beat the piss out of the various flange bolts with 12" wrenches and small sledge hammers for a while to break things loose...even with PB Blaster.
