What did you do to your DSM today?

installed the manifold, turbo, and tial wastegate. decided i would change the front engine mount bracket to the block since the stock sits a little to close to the turbo for my liking.

I drove my 2g up to the napa to talk to a guy about datsun parts. There was this guy in a hopped up cummins that was dogging me on the 1 lane, then tried to pass on the 2 lane. I just pressed a little harder and kept him at bay. He had to change lanes behind me like a good boy to make his turn off. Funny how some jack tards just have to pass then cut ya off and slow down,,just so they can change lanes and make a turn.

Anyway though, I got a good line on an L20 for my dat project. I drove my DSM fast today.

Installed the Three Speed scatter shield, Mach V shifter cable bearings, and relocated my AFPR since I'm able to eliminate my injector resistor pack.

Blew the radiator out on my way to the shop this morning. Walked into the store, utilized the hell out of my 20% discount, and went directly to my bay and replaced it.

It annoys me every time I put this car on the rack. I look at the factory inter cooler piping and just know I'm loosing air though that stuff......

Damn. Red and black looks good

Damn right it does. Thats my color scheme with the GS-T.

But to add to my list for the day, cleaned up the brakes, removed the side skirts ( was missing pieces anyways) installed the turbo timer and installed the new stereo. I feel accomplished.

Long story short I am running a built motor with a Holset HX40. I did the 2g head with 6bolt block and had the head done up with oil port mods 1&2 along side running the OFH mod. Attached is my holset that I mocked up and am just waiting for my head to come back tomorrow. I am trying to have my baby running by the weekend.

Your Three Speed looks amazing polished! I don't know why I never though of that. Did you do it yourself?

Today I installed my AeroCatch hood pins, prepped the fiberglass hood for paint, and drilled 2 broken off bolts out of my fenders (one in each) so I can install my gixrman quick release bumper kit tomorrow. Also hoping to paint the fenders, hood, and headlight covers tomorrow.

i pulled the head off today expecting the worst....well i got it timing belt broke smacking all of the intake valves :( so now its getting a complete tear down and rebuild im thinkin 2.3 stroker evo iii turbo 3" turbo back meth/water injection dsm link etc. any suggestions for injector size?

Ouch!!! The 2.3 with a 16* is going to be fun. That's what I'm building now. Gets 1000's so you can run e85

On a 5-spd, first gear becomes pretty much useless unless you run something like ECMLink's per-gear boost control or switch to an Evo 1st. The 16g on my stroker would just roast the tires and hit redline almost instantly until I calmed it down by dropping the boost in first. I'm sure some stickier tires would have helped, but still...

On a FWD... forget it. :)
