BTW tuners Jake Montgomery sold his evo8 a few weeks ago after he spun a bearing out at the track..
Car had 35000 miles and over 2000logs on the stroker before it got tired and finally let a bearing go.. He now owns a is300 that is pretty tits..
Don't know if you guys even care but i figured id share that one of our fabled dsm'rs has left the platform for a bit although he says him and someone else have plans for another evo next year..

After he nearly crashed it in 08 he retired the car and parted most of it out.. He says hes going to resurrect it someday but for now its just been sitting collecting dust..

Took mine to the "stealership" to see if I could get ball joints replaced under recall. Turns out the PO did it and they won't do it again. They said that they could change them for only $600 something dollars. I almost laughed in the guy's face.

I picked up my Optima Blue top battery, start painting the upper strut tie bars front and rear, redoing my front fenders and hood with plastidip but I might try truck bed liner instead, after some tests I'll start a thread on using bedliners.

Replaced timing belt and all components along with the water pump. I feel better. My BS belt was about to snap.

Replaced a bad master clutch cylinder, then had to clean the carpet underneath from the leaking fluid. Had to rev match to and from the parts store to get the new cylinder because my clutch wouldn't disengage with the peddle .

installed my stock camshafts, new oem front case gasket, OFH gasket, powder coated my water pipe flat black, put a Gates racing water pump, oem timing belt etc. now I just gotta put my engine back in the car, this is on my 90 GSX. fun fun fun!

Brushed the snow off it and used it to go buy smokes, then after i did the snow blowing of the driveway i used it to knock down/break up the piled up ice mountain theplow trucks always leave at the edge of the driveway so that i could shovel/move them with my bad back and left leg. (with it there you need a running start to get in/out of the driveway in anything less than a 4x4 or an AWD car that isn't lowered

Also, decided tomorrow that i'm making a new injector harness (not happy with the way wire insulateion gets cooked after years on turbo cars, plus I want to tuck it better) I had to re-arrange them to go sequential with the haltech and ive been wanting to do thissince then

Also tomorrow/today i'm finishingmy head rest mounted camera mount and test fitting another new saturn alt. bracket for the production runI'll be doing this week
