today i took the whole front subframe apart to have the caliper mounting tab fall off one of the hubs. total win for me.

I swear this car does not want to be fixed. its killing itself in front of me.

Got my new tires in the mail.

got my title transfered and got my plates ..can you believe in illinois for a title transfer and plates its $190 ..shits crazy

I took the tape and paper off my wheels from painting, BBS Gold btw, put the wheels on, then jacked the rear of the car up to try to install the lower tie bar I got for free.

Well it was Saturday, but hey. I pulled the trans, installed a new clutch, changed a broken 3-4 shift fork, installed a new 2nd synchro, detailed the gear, and slider, re-installed the trans. All in a personal best 4 1/2 hours. But wait there's more. On my test ride, i broke an axle, so that got replaced to. Busy day.

Within the last couple days I bought another Talon did tons of maintenance, installed boost gauge/controller, degreased the engine bay, detailed and shampooed interior, painted rims and plastidipped the hood. Been smiling ever since because I got it soooo cheap!:D

fixed the idle surge by, replacing the IAC, that helped a little, but i think over all it was the BISS. Which we also replaced.

Oh and it may not be a big deal cause its stock boost, but at 10psi, 100% throttle, no counts of knock.

I'm just starting to fool around with this safc, and i love it. I just wish i had a working wide-band gauge to start tuning.

Andrew
But yea, overall it runs alot better now. Little shaky idle, but im gonna try and put a cap over the biss.
It could be the leak at my throttle body seals though, but i dont have time or money to fix that just yet.

Stuff I recently did...

Replaced dead alternator with a high output one (150amp)
Replaced serpentine belt (gatorback)
Replaced battery, really wanted an optima but had to budget for a Duralast :/
Replaced o-rings in steering pump so it won't leak anymore (don't need it killing my new alt.)
Replaced fuel filter (purolater)
Changed plugs and wires (NGK's)
Cleaned air filter with K&N recharge kit.. first time I used one of these and I gotta say they work great

Upcoming work...

Flush coolant
Replace all brake pads (ceramic)
Oil change (bosch filter / penzoil)
Change gear oil (penzoil synchromesh)

I have a brand new pivot ball I bought years back I never put in.. debating on whether I want to drop the transmission for that one little part. There's nothing wrong with my clutch but I figured since I have it I might as well put it in. After years of pushing the clutch, the old one may be ground down a little anyhow.

Cleaned and painted the Ic pipes, installed the j-pipe back on the turbo. Installed all new hoses and vac lines on engine. Did a look over as I am getting ready to put the engine back in the car within the next few days.

Ordered more parts and continued working on the cluster bezel for the S2000 cluster.
